Do you know who makes the phone for them or what the detailed video requirements are?

Sorry, no, I mean which types does the device accept. Sounds like it has great player firmware, much better than my LG Dare.

The phone was released about 2 weeks ago. It is comparable to the iphone but better. I am surprised that no one has mentioned this phone yet on here. There will be others who will start asking sooner or later. DVDfab should starting looking into adding it to their menu of selectable phones. I believe it uses mp4.

                I did find this:

"Unfortunately .mp4 is the MPEG-4 Part 14 encoding invented by Apple and is the basis of their Quicktime format and has been really adopted ny the Motion Picture Experts Group and the (so far) best was of digitally encoding video and voice streams. Tp unscamble the coding, if it is not an iTunes encrypted file, you need either a video codec to add to the video player in the Android systems or you need to also get an Android compatible video player that can play Quicktime.
Since MyTouch is becoming SERIOUS competitor to the iPhone, I wouldn't expect Apple's help in this matter.
There are "computer-based" transcoders that will change the mp4 in a more suitable format. Go to the Nokia site and get their free PC suite which will not connect to your phone but should be able to convert the files".

Just a side note that the computer has a 1.1 USB speed and not the 2.0. I wonder if that has something to do with it?

I'll make a test profile and post it here for you to try, but it will be tonight before I have time. The older USB spec will make the transfers to the phone slower but should not effect the playability of the files.

Can you shoot a video from the phone, put it on your computer and get detailed info on what it is? Then you would have a general idea of what it will accept.

Looks like the iPod MPEG-4 profile should work edited to the parameters below copied from troy512's post:

                            Width/Heighth: 480 x 320
                            Video Codec: MPEG-4 (FFmpeg)
                            Framerate: 15
                            Average Bitrate: 384
                            Audio Codec: AAC
                            Mixdown: Stereo
                            Samplerate: 22.05
                            Audio Bitrate: 64
How to post the internal log

Thanks all for putting the time and effort in helping me figure this out. Hopefully we'll see the phone in the phone in the software console soon! I will give it a try and let you all know if it works.
