FLV video's and no audio with lastest DVDFab

Congrats on new forums 1st of all!!! I use converting here and there so i can't say for sure when this got introduced, but i would say within the last 5 versions FOR SURE.
The other night i converted some funny youtube (flv format) video's as well as some Youtube trailers. (About 18 video's total). I used "Generic - avi.xvid.mp3". Most were flv, but a few were mp4, and none of them had any audio to the converter files after opening them. I 1st tried direct audio copy and didn't get audio, and noticed i didn't choose the right profile, so i redid them all using the generic.avi.xvid.mp3 profile, and STILL didn't get any audio with them, just video only.
I then tried generic.avi.divx.mp3 profile and encoded using genric.mp4.h264.aac, and got no audio either. And finally, i even tried 'youtube.flv.flv1.mp3' and STILL didn't get any audio from it. But i can play the original file and it plays audio just fine. I don't understand. That was with 6.0.6.0, but i just downloaded and installed 6.0.6.5 (forgot to install the last 2 version after downloading them), but i still get no audio.
It seems fine when i convert avi's (divx, or xvid, or mpeg), which is odd, but when i try to convert mp4 or flv, i don't get any video. Any suggestions, or is it broke?

Oh yeah, some info to look at for the file testing. (Although i tested over 23 files TOTAL, most being flv, and some being mp4)

Really glad to see you here, neighbor. I have some Tube flvs, I'll try one and see if it performs the same for me.

I too have experienced this issue. When I convert FLV to iPod format, whether it be MP4 or h.264, I don't get any audio.

        hi,

If it is possible, can you give me a link for the youtube video, and I will download it and test it.

and I think the problem must only happened in the flv which audio is aac stream, the flv with mp3 stream should be no problem.

        Thanks report !

I will attempt to find the one that didn't convert properly. I'll need to go through my links this evening and see if I can find it.

Hey Signals, nice to hear from ya again. I'd like to buy ya a beer and chat with ya sometime, someday. Just to pick your brain of how you guys started this and how it began. I love hearing about how some software designers started out. it's fascinating. I do A LOT of work with XBMC related stuff, and FoFiX (RB/GH clone) and used to help out with GB-PVR theme's, and Girder back in the days.

Here's just a few links to test. Any FLV i tried seems to have the same 'no audio' effect.

                Hi neighbor!
Don't confuse me with those that put DVDFab together. I am just a grateful and enthusiastic user. May still pick your pocket for a brew sometime though.

                        Hello,

I'm a newbie to DVDFab and I seem to be having a similar problem. I thought I just was missing something but I can't figure out what.

I'm trying to convert trailers downloaded from iTunes (so .mov files) to mp4, using the generic mp4 profile. The source .mov file has audio, but the converted mp4 file does not.

                        Any suggestions?

                        Thanks!
