    Passkey stopped working with BDs

Passkey 9.2.0.0 has stopped working with BDs as of May 29 (DVDs seem to be okay). It was working on May 28, but now it's returning the "internal error" message with the suggestion to check for a new version, which doesn't exist yet.

This is happening with BDs I've run through Passkey before without problems, some of which I've had for a long time, and a few that scanned properly on May 28. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Passkey and even went back one version, but it still doesn't work.

I don't have AnyDVD. Here's passkey_internal.log from the last few days. Let me know if you need to see more.

Please attach the log. An attachment is easier to distribute to all who need to read it. y2ken please attach your log also.

Sorry about that. The log goes back a long way, but I get what you're saying. Here's the log, zipped to comply with the size limit.

Just fyi, I've tried some other discs. Gravity and Life Of Brian both worked but took about 140 seconds each. Other discs turned up the error message.

          Internal Error

I rebooted my computer and didn't receive the error again.
Hopefully that did the trick. ??

y2ken, I wish rebooting was all it took. I've rebooted my computer several times and left it turned off for about 18 hours without any change. I'm glad it's working for you, but try a few different discs to be sure. Like I said before, two discs did work, but others did not.

I also noticed in Control Panel > Programs and Features that there was still a much older version, 8.2.8.5, of PassKey still installed. Uninstalled it. May have been creating a conflict. I don't have another BD disc to try but hopefully I won't have any more issues. Good luck.

I also had the older version still installed, but uninstalling it didn't make any difference.

I just saw the note at the top of the forum page about the "unknown error." I just tried one of the discs that kept failing before and it worked properly.

This is just fyi. I'll try the other discs that failed and send a PM to Signals if that happens again.

Thanks for the feedback, Chris. Please try the others with the latest version when time permits, thanks.
