    Task_2 failed! Error=122

Is this caused by bad dvd, bad read or some other reasons?

I should also mention, 1) the dvd played fine; 2) have experienced
repeated "unable to detect writable media" problem lately.

    Here is the log:

What kind of media are you using? Also you should always burn at half your disc speed, your disc is 8x max so burn at 4x also use image burn to burn which can be found in third party products on the DVD Fab forum. One other thing update your firmware for your DVD drive http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1..._1.04.exe.html just copy and paste this in your URL.
Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

Memorex to alot of people on this forum are junk sorry. I only use verbatim 16x DVD-r and never have a problem. As far as copy and pasting on my previous post just click an go. Buy the way I have the same burner.

That error code usually means that your drive and the blank media are poorly suited for each other. It can also be caused by a failing laser in the drive. Please try some Verbatim DLs and burn at a slower speed as suggested.
