Default Creator shrinks my file size.

Hello, not sure whats going on. I start dvdfab, go to creator and add a 23.5gb .mkv file and put it on the BD25 1080/i the file drops to about 15gb. does this to all my mkv files. I even put a 30gb and it dropped to 18gb. Any Idea what it's dropping out?

Why is this so, and can you make it so it keeps the same bitrate as the input file. Seems pointless using it if it drops in quality.
I grant you that a lot of files people will be using probably aren't even at that bitrate, but a lot are which is defeating the reason you would want to create a bluray with them.

Looks like this thread might have spiders on it or something. I didn't think that was such a hard or provocative question I asked.
Just kidding but it would be nice to know the answer.
