    outputed video choppy

    Hello,

I am using dvdfab video converter to convert files to put on my kid's ipad mini 4.

Input file is 1.36GB .mkv (Fantastic beasts movie).

I chose "ipad mini 4" in peripherals as output device. I tried numerous settings, but the ouputed video file has less quality than the input one, with larger size file (1.94 GB). For example, I chose "29.97" frame rate instead of 23.976 (same as source) and 0.30 bits/pixel, and tried 1-pass and 2-pass encoding, with movie being not good enough frame rate quality.

    any ideas ?

    thanks

PS : using MS Surface Pro 4 to do the work.

Note : I tried using another software (Brorsoft video, trial), and altough the process was long (1h15), the resulted file plays perfectly and has 3.86Go size.

Would rather use Dvdfab that I paid for tough

    thanks

Try the MP4 default profile with AAC audio. Works well on my iPad.

Better yet get the VidOn player HD for his iPad and play the MKV file. It's free in the Apple Store. I use it and recommend it.
