DVD Ripper Process Failed - no error code

Seems to be related to this disk - all others are fine. Dark Knight Rises.

I tried to rip the main title using DVDFab and it failed - app crashed Win 10. I tried with Handbrake and that too crashed (on a Mac). So I returned to DVDFab and copied disk to ISO. I then ripped main title of ISO using handbrake.

Trying to rip the main title using ISO and DVDFab results in "Process Failed" after about 15 seconds and 1% on progress bar, but no other error. I have disabled path player, but still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated... used DVDFab for over 10 years... first problem i have ever had.

This movie is a few years old, i should be able to rip the dvd version to MP4 or some other portable format without DVD failing.

The log you posted says you used the apple tv profile from a iso
0m 00.45s: info: use profile(Apple TV 3) then cancelled all work.

Try using the store brought disk with path player on and use the profile from ripper you want directly rip from the disk if it doesn't work post that log file and any windows crash logs.

            Hi alphadog
Along with advise given try updating your Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 to the latest version.

That was the profile i wanted, and all drivers are up to date. This is the only disc i have ever had a problem with doing things the same way for many years.

I will try to get better logs, but that is part of the problem

Actually, my video drivers are the latest i can use on my machine. Intel has newer ones but they corrupt the display. I guess I just can't rip this one disk as i have others. I tried ripping from source again, and it just crashes the app without any logs being generated - but i think it is GPU related.

Could try doing a clean Uninstall of dvdfab - run a good registry cleaner
And reinstall dvdfab with a fresh Download of the installer and reinstall
                  Dvdfab " as administrator "

The dvd drive your using is very old using software written for windows xp and no longer supported.Do you have another dvd drive you can use?
New dvd drives are cheap these days time to replace it now anyway.
You can try using Fab in all software mode first then try again from disk.
The last trick up my sleeve I can think of is if nothing else works and no logs or windows crash logs can be provided is to try this with version 8qt of Fab you can get it on Fabs front page and have it on the same hard drive it installs to a different folder.
                    Good luck.

Thought i would report back... Tried again using same computer and BR/DV Burner - no luck. No logs even saved. Did a clean install on a windows 8 gaming rig - so nice video driver, better CPU, newer disk drive - same result. Finally, i tried just the MP4 profile instead of Apple TV - and it worked.

So something in the "Apple TV 3" profile is the culprit - I had switched to that a few years ago as the MP4 profile had sound issues on iPad and I wanted a universal rip for iPad, Windows, and Android.

The odd part is, I have done it this way for the past few years, and never had an issue. Maybe something changed in DVDFab during one of the updates. Although I ripped another disk the same day using "Apple TV 3" and it worked fine.
