      Anyone of these could be your problem.
      Your drive .
      Your media choice.
      Your burn speed.

      Your media is 16X but your drive is only seeing it as 8X

          Try to use better media, like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Then burn at a 4x. Always burn at 4x. It's better because you will avoid less error during the burning process. I have tried using Memorex and they suck.

            laptops only burn at a max speed of 8x but I agree with you the DVD drive sucks big time and is the cause of this problem.

            @rpmhd1
            I suggest to invest in an external DVD burner to use for burning to your cheap blank media and set up ImgBurn to work with DVDFab like it shows in the youtube video located in the link below

            Also set the burn speed to either 8x, 6x or 4x speed on the external nothing else as that media you use is not good

                Good to know you got it working at slower burn speed

                  In shopping for Verbatim disc look for the AZO die brand on the label.

                  3 days ago I purchased 200 Verbatim DVD+R 16X without the AZO on the label and the code on them is Ritek F16-o1 .

                  The same as your memorex ...........

                  Verbatim no longer can be recommended by the name alone.

                    Thanks again to all. I hooked up my liton external burner and set the write speed to recommended with the crappy media and all worked fine. I will definetly purchaser the verbatim media and look for the AZO on the packaging.
                    This is an excellent forum, and again thanks.
