    I cannot back-up any of my Blu-ray titles

    I have been a long time DVD Platinum user and have be able to back-up nearly all of my standard DVD titles. After I started buying Blu-ray titles I found the need to back-up those titles as well but a Blu-ray to Blu-ray copy option was not available. Finally, I read that DVDFab developed Blu-ray to Blu-ray copy software and purchased it to backup my Blu-ray discs. Being a early adopter of new software I purchased it based on my prior satisfaction with DVDFab Platinum and installed it right away. I then tried to copy my Blu-ray discs but, I'm sorry to say, it has not been able to copy a single Blu-Ray disc of the 11 titles I own. At this point it is safe to say that I'm extremely disappointed with the product but would like to hear if I'm either doing something wrong or, at a minimum, alert others to the fact that this product DOES NOT make back-up copies of copy protected Blu-Ray Discs. I have no need to backup non copy protected Blu-ray discs at this point so I cannot speak to its performance in that regard.

    I have the same problem with DVDfab - latest version as downloaded today.

    Works fine on DVDs but just will not touch Blu-Ray disks - nor will it touch Blu-ray ISO files.

    Eg I DVDfab will not open either of the disks from my copy of Benjamin Button nor will it open the ISO files which I archived with [another program].

    INFO file
    Info for ISO [D:\blu-ray\iso\2008 benjamin button d2 (extras).iso] (DVDFab 6.0.6.0)

    Disc is not opened.

      I'm able to open Benjamin Button with the latest beta 6.0.6.5. It also opened with 6.0.6.0.

      DVDFAB does copy a lot of blu-rays. I've copied dozens of blu-rays. Including Crank2, Creepshow, Dawn of the Dead, Sunshine Cleaning, Dogma, Braveheart, Gladiator, Eastern Promises, Zodiac, Monster and Blue Thunder.
      I have a few bd-re discs I use to write to before writing to bd-r since bd discs are still pretty expensive compared to dvd.
      DVDFAB will not copy BD+ protected blu-rays yet.

      Drives are LG BH08-LS20 and LG GGC-H20L.

        Ok, I have no problem backing up Blu ray to blu ray to blu ray to hard drive. i dont see anywhere in your post that you both are even using a DVD Blu ray player or burner on your PC. I have done many so far so you may not have a Blu ray DVD rom in your system.

          Hi camatup,

          Please make sure you have internet connection and the firewall allows DVDFab to access it.

          Best Regards,
          Fengtao
          DVDFab is the all-in-one software package for copying Blu-ray/DVD and converting video file.

                Issue still not resolve

                To answer Touchdown_1's questions about my system: I have a Pioneer 8X Blu-Ray DVD Burner (Model BDR-203BKS) on a Intel X-48 system running a Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit operating system. I have tried unsuccessfully tried to copy I am Legend, Grand Torino, Independence Day, Taken, Eagle Eye, Body of Lies, Total Recall, Die Hard, Predator and Jumper. On a few, it appears to copy and then went it ejects the disc and asks for the blank media it starts coping for a few seconds and then fails. It also appears to copy to the hard drive but when I try and play it, it finds nothing to play in any of the folders or sub folders just copied.

                To answer Fengtao, I am set-up on the internet and access DVDFab several times a month to keep up-to-date.

                  Hi camatup,
                  Thanks for responding, a few more questions before you try to tackel your problem.
                  1) have you downloaded ImgBurn, highly recommend you do
                  2) do you have the latest firmware update, below is a link if you don't

                  OK, now open settings and go to,

                  DVD/Blu-ray ---> Read ---> I/O Mode ---> Auto ---> Blu-ray ---> File Reading mode ---> Internal (UDF 2.50 Parser+ I/O)

                  Write ---> Burning Engine ---> ImgBurn ----> Blu-ray ---> Write Speed ---> Recommended.

                  Protection ---> Blu-ray ---> RemoveAACS -- checked ---> Remove RC (region code for N.A. =A) ---> Remove BD live -- checked ---> Remove UOP's -- checked.

                  hopefully this will correct the problems you been experiencing,
                  if not get back to me,
                  and do download Imgburn if you haven't done so already.

                  good luck

                    I sepreated title which won’t backup at fab current state.

                    Independence Day
                    Taken
                    Die Hard
                    Predator
                    Jumper

                    Also any title by 20th Century Fox and by Paramount Pictures won't work with DVDFAB until BD+ is worked out.
                    If you fail to plan...you plan to fail wouldn't you not agree..Think about it
