Does Blu-ray Copy support VC-1 encoding?

I.e. if a movie is originally encoded in VC-1, will the re-compression be done in VC-1 (or does it transcode into AVC)?

Hi, bourke,

When there is no compression involved, the output video stream is the same as the original, be it VC-1 (Blu-ray) or MPEG2 (HD-DVD);

When there is re-compression involved, it will be transfered into h264 (AVC).
