I am new to Blu ray . I bought a Blu Ray Reader, read what I thought was enough to copy a Blu Ray disk I own to a dvd disc. I downloaded DvdFabhd,(used the Blu ray to Blu ray option, finally got it on the harddrive, went to burn using a dvd5 disc, (used Movie only), was rejected, stating I needed a dual blu ray disc. I'm obviously doing something wrong, when I opened the downloaded file I was completly lost with the options I was given, as oppossed to a Dvd file that just has the audio/video option. I would greatly appeciate any help. T.I.A.

Did you select BD5 in the dropdown beside quality?

Yes it should, but it needs to be played in a Blu-Ray player.

My mistake, I'm getting myself confused, as a matter of fact, I just now finished a download it was D9 and was set to D9, after about 15Hrs it finally finished, the disc had 8.9 G and so it was too big for my D9 ,I had it set for 1080, is there a way to get it down to the D9 size?, I'm sure there can be some bytes eliminated, just am not sure how, I understand some of the sound can be done away with for instance. Is 15Hrs normal for a rip?

I have a Core 2 duo rated @ 3.16ghz out of the box but is overclocked to 3.80ghz with 8gb of ram installed and midgrade (at best) video card that Fab makes use of the Cuda/dxva gpu acceleration (helps the encoding process). My run times are usually 3-4 hours and have seen others report even faster times with better hardware/cpu/video cardsTo be honest 15hrs seems to long imo, make sure no other programs is running in the background such as virus scans and so forth.

Also open Fab/common settings/write in the write speed box under writable media (DVD-9) size, what number is shown there?

Am not sure how to delete unneeded audio. I am trying another computer, seems faster. When I used the term "download", I meant ripping.

you can use ImgBurn for that. Go into Tools on ImgBurn and select Filter Drive Load Order then click copy to clipboard. Once you have done that you post the results from the clipboard here by right clicking the mouse and select paste

Thanks for the reply. I did another rip with "English/Spanish" checked, when I set the player to Subtitles, it showed "on", but there were no Subtitles, I have the"no Hd audio" also checked, is this a factor?
So far the cheaper media is working, when I get this to where I feel I know what I am doing I will definetly switch to Verbs. At this point it's like a practice session.
