Best burn speed for blu rays

Is there a difference between setting your burn speed at "slowest" and setting it at 2x or 1x?

It really depends on media. General rule of thumb burn half speed of rated media.

And also which burning program you are using. If using ImgBurn leave fab settings at recommended and set up AWS at half the burning speed of the disc
