That file doesn't look like a iso it says surfing 3d main movie so if your burning from a folder mount the miniso file in virtual drive then use fab to burn.The log also said not enough space so the file was to big to burn so you should use fab to compress it so it fits on a 25 gig disk.You can't use img burn to burn a 3d folder it must be a ISO.

Then theirs a read error that's caused by dirty,scratched,warped disks you must clean the disk good even if it looks clean and their should be no fingerprints on the disk.

Also theirs a error with pathplayer drive error 1- I am not sure if that's a reading error also.

Why not start with a short movie like a 3d test disk or a short movie that will fit on a 25 gig disk without cuting stuff out then make a Iso from it with fab by using CLONE in blu ray copy with fabs burning engine checked in settings then burn with fab.Update to fabs latest versions if you still can't get it to work try with your other computer and if you still can't get it to work with a different blu ray burner then we will know your not doing it right and if you live in the USA i will call you and we will go over the steps one by one till you get it working but first try the other computer use a disk that does fit on a 25 gig disk like any Imax film in 3d that way you can do it fast on your slow computer ok.All you will be doing is making a clone of the disk this is a exact copy of the disk bit to bit and the result is a 3d iso of the movie their will be no cutting stuff out and no compression so all you need to to is burn the 3d iso with fab or img burn real simple just get a short movie like a test disk or imax movie that will fit on a 25 gig disk.Let me know whats up.

I have tried to get results a few different ways. The log you are looking at was from the clone ISO to , main movie to Blu Ray drive. I posted this one so you can see fab will detect the drive with these settings (even thought the file is too big).
Something just seems off with fab. Why is it when I make the clone ISO, fab can detect that. Yet when I take the clone and compress the size to a smaller ISO to make it fit on a 25gb disc, when it is complete I try and pull the compressed into the source folder in fab and fab keeps trying to detect the file, but can't find it, yet Image burn has no problem detecting the reduced ISO.

Fantastic news!! and not so good news. When I gutted the disc so it would fit a 25gb disc and burned striaght from the "cloned" file via Image burn, SUCCESS!! perfect 3D picture and quality. However, it still doesn't address the problem of fab being able to detect and open the compressed ISO.

Go into fabs settings did you change any of the defauts?
Go to blu-ray write is this setting set for 2300mb or if using bdre check 23098
Now go to read i/o mode is this setting set to auto?
Now that you burned a 3d iso with img burn we know theirs nothing wrong with your bluray burner now is has to be something you set wrong in fab or something your not doing right.

I set the writable media size by customizing it at 23450

Now that you burned a 3d iso with img burn we know theirs nothing wrong with your bluray burner now is has to be something you set wrong in fab or something your not doing right.What about clicking on default setting and changing everything back to their specs?

This set up was how I burned the last 3D BR, but because it is set to clone the file is way to big to fit on a 25GB disc without taking out half the movie. When I try and put the compressed iso in as source, that's when it has trouble reading/finding it.

Change back the custom write speed to 23098 bring settings to default if you messed with anything you didn't understand and make sure delete temp. files is NOT checked.
Open fab to blu ray main movie drag the 50 gig iso file you made by fab that's one click with the mouse to open the file don't open it any further drag the iso movie not the whole folder into fab, source should say (Example)--King kong iso and the target is your blu ray drive because fab is going to burn a new movie its going to make not the whole 50 gig iso ok.Now lets only make this new movie 3 chapters long so hit the chapters button and change the order from lets say you see chapters 1-23 ok change that to 1-3 this will be a very short test disk.
Now leave the audio and subtitles because this is so short leave the setting at 50 gigs it won't matter for this test disk.Now what fab will do is make a temporary folder of the movie you just asked it to make and put it their under main movie then it will all by it self burn that new movie it just made from the main movie folder the other folder with the 50 gig movie in it stays the same.when done fab spits out your new movie.

After that close fab and go into fabs files main movie this is the temporary file fab just made and burned for you if you have delete temporary files checked in settings this file will be deleted by fab.I make sure it's unchecked in settings so after i check to see if the burned disk is ok and in 3d or if i want to burn another copy i can.You can delete it when your done checking the disk.
I would like to see a burned by fab working 3d movie in your hands today.

Worked without a problem! I had a feeling it was going to work ok, it's pretty close to what I did on the previouse one that burned. However, It looks like it's going to be the size of the files that's causing the problems all along. Not being able to compress them enough to fit on a 25GB disc. I'll really be bummed if that's the case. I've done everything to eliminating credits and taking out all audio channels including HD and still can't get these 3D titles to fit.

Well i am sure glad you were able to make a 3d blu ray using fab burner now lets get down to your other problem.You seem to think that fab won't compress 3d movies to a 25 gig disk from a 50 gig 3d disk but i tell you we do this all the time these days.It takes hour's to do the converting but the results are very good and in 1080 I/P full 3d like you want.You can do it with main movie or full disk in full 3d 25 gigs.Just change the pull down box from 50 gig's to 25 gig's on the page bottom in the main movie like you were using.Then fab will do the math and convert to 25 gigs leave in the hd audio and everything else then start the next page has 3d checked already then hit start and fab will reduce the 50 gig iso to 25 gigs and place it in a temporary file and burn it for you the 50 gig file remains in a different folder untouched.

Fab can compress to side by side 3d to even smaller disk sizes and keep the movie in 3d and looking great even on a 8.5 gig two layer regular dvd's that plays on a regular non 3d blu ray player that's if your tv does side by side 3d most do they use a setting on the tv.Media players that do 3d even do side by side 3d.They come out in half the 1080 resolution for each eye but your mind is tricked into seeing the whole 1080i/p picture making the viewing almost the same as full 3d trust me when i say this i done this and have a 60 inch 3d tv so if the quality was even a little soft i would know right away.Now if you do this you can put hundreds of 3d movies on a 3t disk and use them with a media player or computer.Lets make one and see what i am talking about.

You can use cuda with this process so make sure it's set in settings as converting goes twice as fast with cuda.You can't use cuda with the full 3d disks above.

Use a 50 gig iso.open blu ray 3d ripper not the regular bluray ripper must be the 3d blu ray ripper, source is Kingkong iso target is your blu ray drive.(Under blu ray 3d ripper settings use the file format (m2ts audiocopy 3d fast)Make sure that setting is 3d m2ts audiocopy if you choice the m2ts audio copy setting it will be a m2ts regular file not side by side 3d. leave in all the great sounding hd audio and compress down to a 2 layer regular dvd 8.5 gig (set that in the pull down box), if you don't have a regular dvd 2 layer 8.5 blank disk put the rewritable blu ray in the blu ray burner as a test disk.Fab will convert the 3d 50 gig iso and make a new movie side by side 3d and put it into a temporary main movie folder after it converts to 8.5 gigs and side by side 3d it will burn this to your 2 layer disk or blu ray rewritable.The resulting disk if you use a regular 2 layer 8.5 disk will be under 8.5 gigs and plays in even a non 3d blu ray player.The tv must be able to do 3d side by side most 3d tvs do.When you play this disk you see 2 side by side pictures just hit the 3d side by side button on your 3d tv and the tv will combine the two pictures into 3d now put your 3d glasses on and your in 3d land with great picture and HD sound.This way you can back up to cheaper 8.5 disks so if you get a media player and loose your hard drive you have a backup 3ds on cheaper disks so you can just put them back on another hard drive.And the best part for making these 8.5 gig disks is the conversion is much faster 2-4 hours vs 12-14 hours for full 3d for my 2 core computer plus you can use cuda or other speed up conversion programs.your computer you say is fast so your converting times can be much shorter try it with both and see for yourself.With this type of disk you can have img burn do the burning of the disk and set in fabs settings just be sure to set it back to fabs burner when doing full 3d.When you have it set in fabs settings fab will do everything including burning with the fab program you don't have to do any loading up or anything fab does it all for you.

I'm not authorized for dvdfab ripper, I've never purchased it. I'm going to try the 50gb ISO to 25gb ISO with main movie. I'm pretty sure this is what I've been doing but the discs would not burn (see the first post..lol). I'll let you know after it's done.

You will need to use 3d blu ray ripper not blu ray ripper and yes you can use it free for 30 days like all fabs programs you get a free trial to see if you like the softwear so when your done with the 25 gig also try the 8.5 gig it will blow you away.

Ok Glen, we've now officially come full circle.
I did everything identical to making the shorter three chapter version of the movie in 3D, with the exception of not taking out any chapters. I took out all channels of audio that I didn't want (like I would with a 2D title), changed from 50gb to 25gb, pressed start. As you're aware this is about a two hour process depending on your computer. I went to bed woke up with a screen that said operation completed. I put the disc back in the drive and it was blank (like it's been from the start of this post. The log files say failed "Not enough space to hold data". We're back to where we started.....ahhhhh. I know you said that fab does the math, but it's obvious with two attempts on two different discs that fab is not doing the math because on each of them the writing process has failed because fab has not compressed the files enough to fit on a 25gb disc.

Post your other log folder on the conversion that's where we will find out what went wrong with the conversion.Now just were did you get that movie surfing 3d I don't see it anywhere for sale then i checked 3d clubs and didn't see it their unless the title is wrong.Is this a Internet movie? I would use a regular main stream 3d movie as your first conversion.Put your mouse over the movie what size did fab make the movie? what size was it? Thats why we need the other log file.Here is all the versions of softwear for your drive and what was upgraded you will see improvements you never had with the old software.This is why you should always up grade your drives software.You also need the room on your hard drive to hold the 50 gig version and the new 25 gig version fab will make so make sure your hard drive has room and won't be overfull.

I'll have to post the other log when I get home form wk this evening. The movie is a mainstream title, it's "Tangled" by Disney. You know how they don't always use the name of the actual movies when the folder files are made. They just happen to use "surfin3D" as the working title folder. If you ever ripped movies, you'll notice what I'm talking about.
Hard drive space is not an issue, as you know I am a professional video editor and the computer I'm using to work on the 3D tests with fab have x4 2tb HDD in it, each drive is almost completely empty with tons of storage room.

Ok i see what the log says for size now tell me the size of the tangled file when you put your mouse over it? Should be about 22.5 gigs and that makes a easy burn to 25 gig disks.I have that disk so i could reconvert it from 50 gigs but it will take me half a day my 2 core computer is much slower.How many cores does yours have to do it in 2 hrs?

By the way we are using ver 8222 you used 8220 just so you know.How many gigs did fab make your Tangled disk? also take your blank disk put it in the drive and see what windows says the empty space is on it and let me know.Do the same with the rewritable and let me know.My blank burn once Digistor 25 gig disks gives me 23.3 gigs and 22.5 gigs on my Philips rewritable 25 gig disks so if i use the rewritable disk fabs reduced from 50 to 25 gig converts just fit on the rewritable Philips blu ray assuming that fabs converted disks are 22.5 gigs as most are in my collection of back ups.So if your fab conversion is over 22.5 then i can see theirs a oversize problem with fab and that has happened before but lets see what you come up with before we jump the gun here.

Ok i see what the log says for size now tell me the size of the tangled file when you put your mouse over it? I'm assuming you're talking about the clone file since I burned straight from the main menu. The Clone size is 39.4gb. The temp file is deleted if it had the compressed size.

The Blank disc is 23.3 and the rewirtble is 22.5.. How can we get the rewitble size down to the 22.5?
