Just got my "Ultimate Collector's Edition" of Nemo from Disney today and I was trying to make a "Main Movie" backup but I keep getting "Error while reading!" before I even start. It happens when I first put in the disc and the program is trying to "Open Blu-ray source". I'm doing the regular Blu-ray disc not the 3D version. Using 8.2.2.0. Thanks.

When I ran the program before I started it downloaded the update to 8.2.2.0 but looking online I see version 9.0.1.2 is out so I'm downloading that version and will give it a try. I wonder why the program didn't d/l the latest version?

Just tried 9.0.1.2 and I get the same read error.

Hi shmnYou are receiving read errors, I know you said it was brand new, did you try cleaning the disc?There may also be a new copy protection on the disc and the developers will have to deal with this.Do you have any older versions of Fab to try, like 8085 found here CBR929

I tried 8.0.8.5 but it says "Update DVDFab to open this disc".The disc is clean. It's brand new right out of the package. I watched the movie on my BR player with no problems. But, I cleaned the disc anyway but made no difference.Has anyone been able to make a copy of this BR movie?Or, is this a case of nefarious, new protection scheme?On a positive note...this is the first BR disc I bought that actually lets you press the "menu" button and go right to watching the movie without all the annoying warnings and ads. And it remembers where you were if you turn off the player mid movie. Finally, the studios are waking up! The primary reason I back up my movies to hard drives is because I want to watch the movie not fumble through menus and previews and junk for 10 minutes.

getting this error too...Ultimate Collectors Edition using the 3D disc, will try the standard Bluray disc later.Fab opens the disc fine, shows all tracks...when you hit "start" to copy it fails.Using v8.2.2.4

But still cannot convert 3D to "3D side by side". :mad:

Just tried the new 9.0.1.7 Beta, and now when trying to convert to side by side, it just "fails"....no attempt to process.

Am I the only one who cannot convert Nemo 3D into side by side???

Please mount the iso with dvdfab virtual drive, then check if /bdmv/stream/ssif/00914.ssif exists.

Also, how the iso file was created?

The SSIF folder is empty, if that is what you mean. But the STREAM folder contains (42.7 GB) many m2ts files.

I created the ISO using Fab v9.0.1.5 "Full Disc" ISO mode.

Have never had any problems creating side by side, until now with NEMO 3D.

Im trying it straight from the disc using v9.0.1.7 Beta (instead of ISO)...says I have about 3 hours left...will post results.

but when I load it, it reads as 3D iso (why would it even create an SSF folder if not for 3D?)...even gives option to convert to side by side. But am trying to convert again using the disc instead of ISO.

Im about half way, and when I look at the files I can now see the m2ts in side by side!

Seems to be working.

I notice that it has made five m2ts files, is it possible to output a single m2ts file? In the past I normally only get 1 file, with the exception of Titanic which was two disc movie...I can go through other software such as "eac3to" to join the h264 video tracks...but would be most convenient if Fab already did this function.

EDIT: finished, everything looks as it should now. Side by Side!

...now to merge them into single file....grrrrrr

The multiple mt2s files is the way that the disk was authored and it will stay like that unless you use the Ripper function which will give you one file.

Well, Im just glad it finally worked as side by side...I guess I will just have to use my workaround to merge them.
