When ripping a dvd (or iso image) what should I look for in regards to bits/pixels and Aspect ratio when selecting the screen resolution?
Example:
Frame Resolution: 720x300
Bits/Pixels: 0.15
Aspect Ratio: 2.40000

Or would I get a better resolution by picking the setting -

Frame Resolution: 848x354
Bits/Pixels: .108
Aspect Ratio: 2.39548

Any help in understanding this would be very much appreciated. :D

What you've done is expand the frame resolution at the expense of the bits/pixel, the aspect ratio is the same. There will be different opinions on this but I just keep the same frame resolution as the disc, let the TV fill the screen, and set the bits/pixel at .2 or greater for color saturation. Your bottom choice at .108 may look a bit washed out.

I think this, in a round about way answered my question. I guess it would have been better to ask which is better for my picture, .150 or .108. If I'm understanding correctly, it would be .150 or greater. (The .150 is what Fab picked for me automatically). Thanks for the help!:)

The greater bits/pixel = better quality = bigger file size.

You need to work out what's acceptable to you on your target display.

Fab's .15 is a sot of middle of the road setting.
