I have both VSO inspector and Nero SpeedDisk, I scanned District 9 with both and it was fraught with read errors. On this, and other structurally protected DVDs, disk read errors are parts of the protection scheme. If I scan it with an on the fly decrypter running in the back ground there are no errors at all, the decrypter defeats that part of the protection. Iâm sure there are no real errors, bad places in the plastic molding, because it backs up fine. I have a hunch that if there was a bad place on the disk it would show up even with the decrypter running but canât verify this. What are your thoughts?
