Turn OFF HDCP?

I was using BD Copy, Full Disc and could not find any provision to turn off the HDCP audio track.

Could someone tell me where it is located???

You can remove the HD component by clicking on the Advanced Settings button, then putting a checkmark in the Remove HD Audio box.

HDCP has nothing to do with audio. It means High Definition Copy Protection. It is the handshaking that takes place over HDMI to make sure that the device on the other end is allowed to deal with the copy protected video.

So what exactly does this remove hd audio do?
Removes all audio or what, when I copy or convert no difference on or of. No info avail for this subject on site dvdfab.

It deletes the Hi Def component of the audio stream, leaving the core. The result is a much smaller file that still has multi-channel sound. It is also easier for some players to deal with.

BR copy movie only, remove hd audio on/off no difference, br movie same file size. And plays original audio.
Pse, be more specific and talk to me as a beginner?
Like to make copies from original a smaller movie file with no quality loss. Sometimes only 93 or 97 percent size original for a BR-25 original language only and minimum subs , much extra time to copy.

All Blu-ray players must play all of the Dolby and DTS audio formats, when playing authored Blu-ray discs.

What it doesn't have to do is play DTS-HD, for example, if the audio is in a MKV wrapped file. Seems stupid, since the player is able to handle all of the audio formats.

So, no matter how you play the file, by only having the Dolby Digital core, or the DTS core, you can be certain that it will be playable by whatever device you are using.

The option converts Dolby TrueHD/7.1 to AC-3/5.1, DTS HD Master to DTS 5.1. The size difference can be huge, see the captures which show a difference of 3.5 GB. It can in some cases make the difference in fitting a Main Movie rip onto a SL BD-R with no compression of the video.

As I understand, remove HD audio only matters when True HD7.1 or DTSHD Master is available on the original BR.
Not all brs use True HD reading the back of the their box. This will be the reason I didn't notice any reduction in size on or of.

All these msgs from and to can be avoided if there is a decent DVDFab manual available. 3 different manuals on my PC, 2 are very old version dvdfab 7 or so I think. The other one more recent but not explaining much of the many DVDFab functions only the basics.
A short txt on all the different functions is very helpfull?
Now one has to go through the complete forum hoping the questions and answers are available to the problem. Searching the net there is no extra info found, the basic functions only. Refer to the hd audio removal, simple but nowhere explained. Its doing what I thougt, but I was not sure.

I cannot disagree that the user manual could use an update, many features have been added or improved since it was written. Note however that even a brand new version will still concentrate on how to easily use DVDFab and not so much on explaining what it does or how it does it, which is not the goal of most users. There is also a huge (17 pages) FAQ full of answers for many questions that is a little more up-to-date and more detailed, here . The answer to the original question in this thread can be found there at the bottom of page 2. The forum will almost always be quicker; both the QA and Service Team members are in the forum almost every day, in addition to many very smart users from all over the world. The problem with this thread was the confusion about the topic (HDCP vs. HD Audio).

Also, the manual would most definitely not explain what's HDCP cause it's expected to be basic knowledge in this context.

Yes signals but our conversation was about the HD audio removal, and chetwood I do know what dhcp(network) and hdcp(v2.2) means or are for, i'm using it myself right now(tv-brplayer build in).
The first response from signals draw my attention because of his remark to checkmark the HD audio box and be honest HD audio in general can be anything these days.
I started thinking what is this box for, have used it in the past a few times but no changes in my opinion. No info on this matter either.
I turns out to be very helpfull(signals) for burning a movie on a bdr25. Lots of time I lost in minor compression to 96 or 98 percent(samples) from my true hdts originals to the 25 copies. Yesterday my (true)hdts test-disc copy had about 0.8gb reduction in iso size and fits on 25 so no need for compression and same quality! It works for my system, no 7.1.
