I just noticed that I can't output DTS-HD High Resolution audio tracks with DVDFab Player 5 Ultra.Which is kind of weird: every other audio format works, all the Dolbies, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS:X.

A little reminder: there is still no DTS-HD HR audio with Fab Player 5.0.1.2.Latest example is the Star Wars: The Last Jedi Blu-ray 3D, where the English audio track is DTS-HD HR 7.1.Just in case you are not aware of the problem, this affects AV receivers with the newer DTS version.

The same Problem i also have, i cant see film with optical output. I use the Realtek onboard card. I have connected with optical cable. Some versions of DVDFab Player 5 Ultra before it works.I use Sony DP-RF6500 Headset. I also post my audio Settings.

The Same! Pioneer SC-L-X901 with 11.1 Dolby Atmos, connection with HDMI on my HTPC with GTX1050 (newest nvidia driver, newest Win10 updates). AC3 Movies no Problem. DTS-HD, DTSX, Dolby Atmos Movies the the picture is stuttering and no Audio. In the moment is 5.0.1.2 doesn't start. I must use 5.0.1.0Beta to watch movies. I must deactivate Passtrough to watch in stereo.

Ditto Gorba8.9. All same for me. No Atmos Tracks either. Powerdvd converts these to Multi-Channel Audio. DVDFab, no sound at all.

pass-through.. if i use powerdvd 15 then all audio formats work

using pass-through and my receiver Marantz 6011 with 7.2.4

the video part is spot on playing 4K uhd blu--ray rips beautifully

what i can't do with powerdvd 15.... I'm glad i didn't buy DVDFab

player just yet I'm just using the trial download

Dolby Atmos is either based on Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD. There is no problem in Fab Player with both variants.

No, there is no HD sound with Output Device: DirectSound, the TrueHD/DTS-HD option is grayed out. Audio output then is only the Dolby Digital resp. DTS core. Since the Windows 10 sound settings show a Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD capable AV-Receiver, I guess this is a bug in Fab Player.

But try Output Device: WASAPI, the TrueHD/DTS-HD optionis accessible then. And Dolby TrueHD / Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio work, including Atmos and DTS:X.

I'm repeating myself: the only HD sound format that does not work is DTS-HD High Resolution, if you have any new AV-Receiver, or an earlier AV-Receiver with a firmware update including the latest DTS version. This is a bug in Fab Player.

DirectSound doesn't support TrueHD output, so the option is grayed out.

As for the problem of "NO AUDIO in format DTS-HD High Resolution", we've tested again with the latest DVDFab Player, and we could not reproduce it. (we didn't test with "Denon X3200W, a 2015 model").

So, please do zip the latest DVDFab Player 5 log folder and send it to us. Thank you.

Mona, until you fix the faulty DTS-HDHR bitstream audio on newer receivers, or older receivers with the DTS update:

I'll keep on using my Blu-ray player, my UHD-Blu-ray player, and my REALLY old media player Netgear Neo-TV 550. Or on Windows MPC-HC with the LAV DirectShow filters.

Latest blu-ray without audio on FabPlayer btw was A Beautiful Day (You Were Never Really Here), English and German DTS-HDHR audio tracks.

With v18 Beta 3 (Oct 3, 2018), the guys from Kodi have also fixed the issue for their VideoPlayer.

Sooner or later, Fab Player will be the only Media Player without DTS-HD HR bitstream output on newer AV-receivers. And it's not even free.
