Yes, there are pretty limited drive options for optimum results. I think the NS40 will not work without the sticker. Even the ones I have seen listed have firmware restrictions and most vendors can't tell you what the fw version is. I have a BH16NS55 which was not sold in the US to my knowledge but is widely available in the EU. As a suggestion, I'm glad you're compiling a list of drives that work. You might also consider creating a section where people can download firmware versions that work so that new drive purchases can be flashed back to a previous version that is functional. I don't know if it's possible but it is something to think about. :p

After spending a lot of time and money buying drives online that were recommended, only to find out they had newer firmware and are not compatible, I somewhat "struck gold" with a small lot of these drives with the old firmware. Happy to see that the money I spent on the UHD tools from DVDFab can now be used!

Well, if this is correct... https://www.myce.com/news/dvdfab-announces-its-ultra-hd-blu-ray-ripping-and-playback-software-84041/ then maybe DVDFab's supported list will mirror DeUHD support list but with a slight delay. However I don't see Last Jedi on the DeUHD list on their page.

Someone made a post in the forum before (early April) about "Unsupported Disc".. and the mods asked for more info and files. So maybe making a post outside this thread, the mods can see it and possibly resolve it?

I found this link https://www.dvdfab.cn/4k-uhd-drives.htm listing the support UHD drives for dvdfab. Based on this I ordered the LG BP60NB10 slim external drive. When I try to rip my UHD disc DVDfab tells me my UHD drive is not supported and links me to the above page. Is this drive supported?

I just checked and it shows BU11 instead of the preferred BU10. I tried downloading the older firmware but get the message I have the latest. (translation from Japanese I think)
since I had nothing to do I downloaded the data to my pc then made an iso with dvdfab just to see if it would work. It did but didn't show me audio options.

If you can't get the drive firmware to
downgrade then I would suggest you
Get a refund and try your luck with a different drive.

DeUHD works fine on all three drives I bought that were listed on the good lists for DVDFab. all of them have a newer BIOS on them.. and they work on DeUHD... I guess it is time to dump DVDFab and move onto DeUHD and use make mkv to rip movie only after ripping to hard drive with DeUHD. It was great while it lasted.

I have an LG BP60NB10 model external drive (I know, it's USB 2.0), but DVD Fab says it not supported. The reply from DVD Fab support was to verify the firmware. I have version 1.0, but I can not find anywhere online a firmware update to this model.

try right clicking your dvd drive - click properties- Hardware, the firmware should show

Yes, I checked the list of supported drive from your link. I checked my firmware. It's firmware 1.0. The supported list says DVD Fab works with firmware GH01. I did NOT update my firmware. I just took it out of the box and tried running DVDFab. I looked everywhere for firmware GH01 at both the LG website and elsewhere. LG doesn't even have the drive supported.
So, with that, I just want to make sure that it has been confirmed that the LG BP60NB10 does indeed work with DVDFab, and if so, where can we get the firmware?

what is the drive not doing ?? is it not working - reading the UHD discs or something else ??
and are you running the 64bit version of dvdfab.

also you might want to post the dvdfab internal log files
for the developers to check for issues.

if you check the drives listed in the supported drives list it shows that

LG BP60NB10 needs firmware GH01 to be compatible. you have purchased a drive with firmware 1.0. if you asked when purchasing for the firmware you wanted and was supplied with something different then you would have a case for getting a refund from newegg. If you had not asked for the correct firmware as described on dvdfab website then you only have yourself to blame . there is no need to be peeved with dvdfab
