FabPlayer crashes when opening after 6002 update

After updating to 6002 every time I open FabPlayer it crashes generating an error report. After I send in the error report it asks if I want to restart it and I choose yes. Then FabPlayer starts successfully. I am able to reproduce this every time I open FabPlayer.

I figured it out thx. The problem was previous updates installed over the current install. The update to v6 created a new install. Apparently there was a conflict between versions v5 and v6. After uninstalling v5 and sweeping the registry of all v5 entries v6 now starts without crashing.
