do I need an Intel cpu if I'm using an Nvidia card that is listed to work?
I have an amd cpu, with nivida card

While I can't say for 100% certainty (because I have an Intel CPU), based on the messages I see, when NVIDIA is selected, its used, not my CPU.

I have Ryzen and it works fine with my 2060

It should work fine, many users have the AMD+Nvidia combination and use it successfully.
