@kevinw another way to determine is to watch the original disc either on software player (I use PowerDVD) or standalone player and see which subtitle track is automatically turned on (i.e. "Forced") by the player. This is 99% full proof. I say 99% because in a few titles I have backed up in the past, there is some kind of coding (Java?) that dynamically turns the main English subtitle on and off to display translations where appropriate. If making Movie Only backup, this coding is not included in the copy and the only way to ensure it works right is to make Full Disc Copy. One recent title that comes to mind that does this is 'Bad Boys for Life" (US RA). In the Movie Only Copy you can either have main English subtitle always on or off. If off, the translations will NOT show up. If on, you will see ALL subtitles, not just the translations. Full DIsc Copy works properly. I dont recall the other titles, but do remember there were a few others that worked this way. Even using my 99% full-proof method, none of the subtitle tracks showed up as being on, or "Forced on" for this title, yet translation appeared where appropriate, in both original disc and Full Disc Copy only.
