Both of these are available (in the US at least) on Amazon Prime.

That's true, however I for one am subscribed through Acorn directly since they offered a great deal for an annual subscription. Britbox has offered similar deals. So far these deals have not been offered through their Prime channels.
Also I have come across one show that appears to be available on the Britbox stand-alone service that is not available on Prime:
