DVDFab 12 doesn't connect to sever after updating to new version

I updated DVDFab 12 about a month ago and after the update the program lauched and then froze attempting to conncet to server. I have since opened tickets and supplied logs with no fix. I have since tried several new versions with no success. Why can't I get a solution for this? I've used my lifetime license for several years with no problem and now I can't use this program at all.

Is it possible something in your system is blocking access to the Fab server?

Please add DVDFab.exe to the trust list of your antivirus software to have a try.

I get this as well, once in a while. I thought it's my internet connection. ie. am off-line.
