"Failure accessing the firmware information, please check the network connection!"

I am trying out UHD Drive Tool 2.1.0.1 with a new UHD optical drive I just installed on my Dell laptop.

I bought the drive from Amazon, and it is called "HLDS BU40N Ultra Slim Internal Ultra HD Blu-Ray Optical Drive/ 9.5mm/ UHD Drive" (Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BSF41VW/).

Every time I try to run UHD Drive Tool, the log gives me the following error message: "Failure accessing the firmware information, please check the network connection!"

There is no issue with my network connection, so I'm not sure what the issue might be,
