Slow Load --- "Loading task queue"

The program takes quite some time to start for the first time because it shows "Loading task queue". Because I have nothing in my task queue, I assume it is also loading the history of past downloads. Is there an easy way to delete this history without any data loss or loss of settings?

When you try to run it again, do you still get the slow problem?

I was able to delete the completed tasks via the program and it now loads much faster.
Question: What is the point of storing completed tasks? It does not prompt you if you accidentally download the same video again, it just overwrites it. Is it much to ask the program to see the destination file already exists and ask if you want to download it again?
