I wouldn't hold my breath...
Molotov uses DASH subtitles. Just like Discovery+. Just like anything that has an MPD really.
I have asked repeatedly for them to fix Discovery+ subtitles and i have even laid out the steps i use on DRM-free sites and yet, still nothing. Extremely frustrating.
Now that Warner Brothers owns Discovery+, i am very afraid that DRM is coming to Discovery+ shows and i won't be able to download my shows with subtitles.
Yes i could just sub to Amazon US' Discovery+ Channel but the bitrates are way too high for dumb reality shows...
I don't understand why they are not just parsing the MPD for subtitles and download them. Take a look at the MPD file for "Pour une poignée de dollars"
Opening it in Notepad++, we can see there are 2 subtitles. French and Italian:

contentType="text"

mimeType="application/mp4"
codecs="stpp.ttml.im1t"

endNumber="3013"

I mean it's not rocket science.
The subtitles are not even DRM protected like on some other sites using MPD so i was able to download the French subtitles and convert them from TTML to SRT using the steps i describe in that linked post.
