I see that my member log in credentials for dvdfab.cn also work to log into your site. So I'd like to better understand your relationship.Because I can log into your member center using my same DVDFAB.CN credentials, do the license packs and extended download service purchase transfer between theirs and yours? Or must we re-purchase additional license and extended download from your site as well?What is your support model? Will you use this forum as an official support channel? or must we use the Contact Support button at https://musicfab.org/support.htm or the Ticket options in the member center area on musicfab.org to get support?I have not installed or tried MusicFab yet, but it appears to be a separate app, like StreamFab is separate from DVDFab. i have 365 DVDFab Membership, and my login datas dont work with this product. i only have 3 songs to download. so i think you must buy this license extra.

When I download an album from Spotify, it comes in with the name of the album, but NOT the Artist! Any plans to put the album under the Artists name? IE: C:\Musicfab\\\

Spotify downloader:I purchased Musicfab, and have noticed a couple of other issues. After each album or list, Musicfab seems to stop downloading the rest of the songs in the que; requiring constant attention. I also noticed that Musicfab errors out frequently on long lists. Restarting the download of the failed song in the list seems to work each time there is a failure/error. I was wondering if these are known issues, and if it's being worked on. I know this is fledgling software, and there are bound to be wrinkles. I have every confidence in your team. Other "Fab" software I subscribe to has hit snags from time to time, but your team usually comes through in a reasonable amount of time. I know that the team is hard working and diligent, but if you could put my mind to rest concerning these issues, I would appreciate it.Edit: After the failures, I looked in Spotify and the error said "Playback of protected content is not enabled. Visit Spotify to learn how to enable playback in your browser." I hope this tidbit helps. One is kinda stuck with the browser and settings included in Musicfab. -ThanksEdit 2: It looks like I get the same error after every song download, and cannot add any songs to the que once the download has started.

Another question. The Lyric files seem not to be being mixed into the original MP4a, and are frequently showing up as separate .lrc files. Is there any setting that I can adjust to stop this? I would rather have the lyrics in the meta data of the file. (Some songs that have lyrics don't have an attached .lrc file.)(Do you need another Beata tester? ;))

When downloading compilation albums or playlists, the name of the artist is noted in the file name for each song/file displayed in the Spotify list on the screen; but that information is not included in the file name of the downloaded music. Is this a known issue? (or is it even an issue) To have the artists name for each song in the file name of compilation albums or playlists would be nice. Although the artists name IS in the meta data, it's sometimes nice to know the name of the artist(s) before it's loaded into a player. Especially when choosing songs from inside a very long downloaded playlist.... eh, I'm of two minds weather this is important enough for the team to consider. I'll let the team decide if this "issue" has merit. Either way it goes, I would value your feedback on the subject. - Thank you

Ouch! It appears that most of the songs I downloaded from Spotify have been truncated, and will not play. The player is reporting a song as 9:45 in length, but only a few seconds will play. The same song that I already had on my computer in my music folder plays fine using the same player. Some that I have downloaded using Musicfab play all the way through. It seems like most do not. Rebooted the computer. The ones I already had in my library play fine. I would venture to say MOST that I got off Spotify using Musicfab are truncated. It also seems that three songs were not enough of a sample to properly evaluate the efficacy of this software. I'm not sure what logs to send. This one is bad. BTW: Music from Spotify not going through the Musicfab interface plays fine. The price is kind of steep for this kind of software. I have been using different Fab software(s) for years. (Since DVDfab went from 2 to 3 (I believe it was 2005 or 6)) There is a built in trust issue here. Please don't let me down.Q: What do I do? Please help.

Oookay... I didn't expect an answer until Monday. After receiving no response to my queries today (Monday) I totally deleted Musicfab and reinstalled it. There was an update after I reinstalled it. That's good. I wiped out everything I downloaded before, and started over. So far, the songs I have listened to that have come in have not been truncated. Whew! Now there is a new issue. In the "Downloading" section, I can see the Spotify list but it appeared that it would not not open for me to view or delete files from the list. After several minutes, I moved the Window with my mouse, and was able to see a partial list. After moving the window again, the view updated, but the U.I. appears to be frozen and I am unable to do anything in it. Songs are failing (still) and I could not scroll down the list or see an accurate view of where the list was. It seemed (again) frozen. I found that by "grabbing" the window with my mouse and moving it from side to side it updated the view in the window allowing me (with difficulty) to restart the songs that had failed, Which transferred flawlessly on the second attempt. I still don't know what's going on there or why they fail. The U.I. in the downloading section is still "freezing", useless, and the view in the U.I. Window, will not update at all unless I move the window with my mouse. (Windows 10). Has anyone else reported these problems? Again, Is there any way to get rid of those annoying .lrc files and get the lyrics remuxed into the files meta data? Putting the albums by a single artist in a folder under the artists name would be nice too. I'll listen to the rest of the music over the next few days, and let you know if any more files get truncated. Hopefully I'll hear a reply to this post before then. #Sylvia, I cannot seem to access the ticket que in the Member Portal using any browser. I can log into the Member Portal, but when I click on the "Ticket" link, nothing happens. I have tried Microsoft Edge, Opera, Google, and DuckDuckGo browsers, and have tried turning off the tracking disablers on three of those four browsers. I cannot get in to see the status of my "Open Tickets" or reply.

MusicFab crashed again this morning. Instead of restarting and continuing, I copied the .log, and zipped it up (as #StPeterOrding2015 so thoughtfully suggested.). The Crash should be at the very end so the team doesn't have to search for it. If you could forward this .log to the Team, I would appreciate it.

It's been a while since I've been able to report good news. After selecting an album, when I back out of it, I am finding myself where I went into the album instead of back at the top of the list. This makes content selection way less kludgy and work intensive. I thought it might be an anomaly, and didn't post until repeated results were well tested, hence the delay. Good job team! thanks.

Update: #Sylvia. I was able to get into the Ticket que using the Opera browser this afternoon. I reported the Amazon issue, and was able to see answers and reply. I realize that you are probably busy and don't want to waste your time.

I don't know why I am unable to access the Ticket que from time to time. It is an intermittent issue and if you would bring it to someone's attention, they might be able to replicate the problem. If they can't, I don't know what else anyone can do. -Thank you-

I'm pretty sure that word of mouth will spread a reputation in the community, good or bad if they succeed or (heaven forbid) fail. The developers are not going to want to see these issues go unresolved. If the issues linger unresolved for to long, the purchases will die off exponentially as word gets around (and it will!). Products like this, rely on new purchases to continue development and support for existing users. If there are no continuing new purchases, the product will fall on its face and die. Everyone on the staff and development team are betting on this products ongoing existence for their continued livelihood. So far, the "Fab Team" has a very good reputation, not only for their other software, but for their software support. I'm betting nobody on the "Fab Team" wants to loose the public support and reputation they have so laboriously built by letting a single product drag them down. So... I wait and see.

In other news: Although the software puts me back in the selection list where I was after backing out of an album; it still punts me right back to the top of the list, if the list continues past the initial bottom of the right hand vertical slider in Windows. If a very prolific Artist is selected, the selection list repopulates once you pass the initial bottom of the vertical slider, and adds more albums. If any album is selected past this point, the list bounces back to the top once you back out of that album. Still.. It's a lot better than it was.

I just installed version 1.0.1.3. After killing the program, and restarting it several times, the "Protected Content" screen did not show up. (but it's done that before.) I have a large Batch File running, so I can't restart the computer to properly finish the install. I need to let this batch file run through, and it may be Sunday or Monday before that happens. In the mean time I have loaded up the MusicFab download que and started it. That much I can do with the batch file running in the background. After the batch file is complete, I'll delete the old log and temp folders so old data does not cause trouble and restart the computer. I'll be back then, and post what I find.

The "Protected Content" screen has not been an issue for me (yet) since I updated. That has been the really big one for me. as long as that screen continued to show, I was unable to add content to the download que, making the program useless until I could clear it. Now that it's gone, functionality has taken a giant forward leap.

I just put in another ticket though. I said that I just updated to Version 1.0.1.3., and It continues to crash off the screen. I installed it yesterday, but was unable to reboot my machine due to a large batch file running. During that period, MusicFab crashed twice. I thought that it might have been due to my failure to wipe the old Temp and Log folders then reboot. The batch file finished last night, so I deleted the old Temp and Log folders. I then rebooted and restarted MusicFab. After 2 hours, It crashed off the screen again.

Folder art continues to not show up in Windows, and the albums still are not placed in a folder by artist IE: C:\Users\\Documents\MusicFab\Spotify\\\. These (for me) are more minor issues though. When I replace the folder art, it shows up fine, and this is a relatively easy task for me. It would be nice if those issues were solved however.

I have yet to try a two (or more) disc album to see if the tracks are sorted into their proper Disc folder. This is a LOT of work on the back end and a rather large issue for me.

The good news is (so far), There have been visible positive steps, and I am confident that the team is growing the software in an also positive direction. I upload a copy of the log file the the Ticket que. I have also attached a copy here also on the off chance that someone might find it useful. I'll be back with more on the multi disc album issue.

Whookaay... All of the tracks on multi-disc albums are still being dumped into a single directory (folder). When I went in to find a two disc (or more) album from any artist, the "Protected Content" screen did briefly rear its ugly head; but it was swiftly dismissed by restarting the program. Although this does not bode well for the final disposition of this issue; so far, it's a lot better than it was. My former frustration with that nagging issue was immense. Hopefully it will stay stomped down. One has to remember that the streamers don't like this type of software and are actively working to stop it. Developers from the "Fab Team" constantly have to stay ahead of the developers on the other side working against them. They always have to keep finding ways around more than just the current issues to stay ahead of the power curve. ,,,, and product development and advancement still has to continue. As new (or old) issues arise, I will work on bringing them to the attention of the team. I am greatly looking forward to the next iteration. Hopefully more of the current issues will go away.

Edit: I would like to thank the people that follow this thread and reply. I DO like to talk, but I hate shouting into the wind. Your replies, comments, support or advice are greatly appreciated.

The Track Selection screen failed to open after finishing a short download list, forcing me to close the program. This has been an intermittent, but common problem. When I restarted the program, the "Protected Content" screen returned. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to get rid of it before giving up. I'll try again tomorrow.

If it's just a setting I missed, that would be wonderful. The Downloads go into separate folders, but tracks from multi Disc albums are dumped into a single directory VS sorted by Disc. IE:

This > C:\Users\\Documents\MusicFab\MusicFab\Output \Spotify\\

VS > C:\Users\\Documents\MusicFab\MusicFab\Outpu t\Spotify\\\
C:\Users\\Documents\MusicFab\MusicFab\Outpu t\Spotify\\\

I have attached a screen shot of my settings. If it's something I have missed, I would be grateful for your help. If you need more info, just let me know.

Yeah... Just one site. Spotify. and yes, some selections are greyed out in the selection list, and don't populate in the track selection list. I can't complain to MusicFab about this, because those same tracks are greyed out when I access Spotify through a regular browser on my computer.

Spotify Discographies are also incomplete. When I look at some Discographies; I own (sometimes several) albums that don't show up in the discography list, and are unavailable. Still... Spotify is still the biggest streamer with (in my opinion) the largest selection. Paying monthly for two streaming services would (for me) redundant. I AM an Amazon Prime member, but would have to pay more for their complete collection of music. I do play there from time to time though.

I stream Spotify in my vehicles rather than listen to the radio, that has what feels like fifteen minute stretches of commercials and commentary. I also don't have to put up with some idiot talking over the musical intro's or extro's. I believe talking over music and ruining my enjoyment is just a kludge used by no talent hacks to avoid "dead air", or just plain ignorant butheads.

Too bad about the "Protected Content" screen returning. For a while, I thought it had gone away. This latest version also seems to crash more. I still have hope things will get better though. Maybe not as soon as I would like for some things, but I know they are working on it. I am still able to get the content I want for "offline listening". It just sometimes takes a little more patience. So... Until then... I wait.

Note: I have even started exploring new artists!
