I see that my member log in credentials for dvdfab.cn also work to log into your site. So I'd like to better understand your relationship.Because I can log into your member center using my same DVDFAB.CN credentials, do the license packs and extended download service purchase transfer between theirs and yours? Or must we re-purchase additional license and extended download from your site as well?What is your support model? Will you use this forum as an official support channel? or must we use the Contact Support button at https://musicfab.org/support.htm or the Ticket options in the member center area on musicfab.org to get support?I have not installed or tried MusicFab yet, but it appears to be a separate app, like StreamFab is separate from DVDFab. i have 365 DVDFab Membership, and my login datas dont work with this product. i only have 3 songs to download. so i think you must buy this license extra.

When I download an album from Spotify, it comes in with the name of the album, but NOT the Artist! Any plans to put the album under the Artists name? IE: C:\Musicfab\\\

Spotify downloader:I purchased Musicfab, and have noticed a couple of other issues. After each album or list, Musicfab seems to stop downloading the rest of the songs in the que; requiring constant attention. I also noticed that Musicfab errors out frequently on long lists. Restarting the download of the failed song in the list seems to work each time there is a failure/error. I was wondering if these are known issues, and if it's being worked on. I know this is fledgling software, and there are bound to be wrinkles. I have every confidence in your team. Other "Fab" software I subscribe to has hit snags from time to time, but your team usually comes through in a reasonable amount of time. I know that the team is hard working and diligent, but if you could put my mind to rest concerning these issues, I would appreciate it.Edit: After the failures, I looked in Spotify and the error said "Playback of protected content is not enabled. Visit Spotify to learn how to enable playback in your browser." I hope this tidbit helps. One is kinda stuck with the browser and settings included in Musicfab. -ThanksEdit 2: It looks like I get the same error after every song download, and cannot add any songs to the que once the download has started.

Another question. The Lyric files seem not to be being mixed into the original MP4a, and are frequently showing up as separate .lrc files. Is there any setting that I can adjust to stop this? I would rather have the lyrics in the meta data of the file. (Some songs that have lyrics don't have an attached .lrc file.)(Do you need another Beata tester? ;))

When downloading compilation albums or playlists, the name of the artist is noted in the file name for each song/file displayed in the Spotify list on the screen; but that information is not included in the file name of the downloaded music. Is this a known issue? (or is it even an issue) To have the artists name for each song in the file name of compilation albums or playlists would be nice. Although the artists name IS in the meta data, it's sometimes nice to know the name of the artist(s) before it's loaded into a player. Especially when choosing songs from inside a very long downloaded playlist.... eh, I'm of two minds weather this is important enough for the team to consider. I'll let the team decide if this "issue" has merit. Either way it goes, I would value your feedback on the subject. - Thank you

Ouch! It appears that most of the songs I downloaded from Spotify have been truncated, and will not play. The player is reporting a song as 9:45 in length, but only a few seconds will play. The same song that I already had on my computer in my music folder plays fine using the same player. Some that I have downloaded using Musicfab play all the way through. It seems like most do not. Rebooted the computer. The ones I already had in my library play fine. I would venture to say MOST that I got off Spotify using Musicfab are truncated. It also seems that three songs were not enough of a sample to properly evaluate the efficacy of this software. I'm not sure what logs to send. This one is bad. BTW: Music from Spotify not going through the Musicfab interface plays fine. The price is kind of steep for this kind of software. I have been using different Fab software(s) for years. (Since DVDfab went from 2 to 3 (I believe it was 2005 or 6)) There is a built in trust issue here. Please don't let me down.Q: What do I do? Please help.

Oookay... I didn't expect an answer until Monday. After receiving no response to my queries today (Monday) I totally deleted Musicfab and reinstalled it. There was an update after I reinstalled it. That's good. I wiped out everything I downloaded before, and started over. So far, the songs I have listened to that have come in have not been truncated. Whew! Now there is a new issue. In the "Downloading" section, I can see the Spotify list but it appeared that it would not not open for me to view or delete files from the list. After several minutes, I moved the Window with my mouse, and was able to see a partial list. After moving the window again, the view updated, but the U.I. appears to be frozen and I am unable to do anything in it. Songs are failing (still) and I could not scroll down the list or see an accurate view of where the list was. It seemed (again) frozen. I found that by "grabbing" the window with my mouse and moving it from side to side it updated the view in the window allowing me (with difficulty) to restart the songs that had failed, Which transferred flawlessly on the second attempt. I still don't know what's going on there or why they fail. The U.I. in the downloading section is still "freezing", useless, and the view in the U.I. Window, will not update at all unless I move the window with my mouse. (Windows 10). Has anyone else reported these problems? Again, Is there any way to get rid of those annoying .lrc files and get the lyrics remuxed into the files meta data? Putting the albums by a single artist in a folder under the artists name would be nice too. I'll listen to the rest of the music over the next few days, and let you know if any more files get truncated. Hopefully I'll hear a reply to this post before then. # Sylvia, Thank you for your reply and screen shot. Yes, the output is being sorted by playlist. I tried to upload a .log file but I got a popup saying it's to big. Any Ideas? If you have a workaround, I will be happy to send it. I COULD delete the .log file and see if it crashes again; then send the smaller file (If that would help.). EDIT: I did see an area for output where I checked and . I think may be the key. I'll post again tomorrow after I retry a multi-disc album. I don't have enough downloads left in the cue to try today.

MusicFab has been up for quite a while with no crashes. I have rebooted the computer and closed and restarted the program innumerable times to get past Spotify's "Protected content" screen in the browser. I left it up (after not being able to get past that screen) all night, and it didn't crash (but it wasn't downloading either.). After rebooting and restarting the program, I was finally able to access the Spotify interface this morning.

#ord1117, I have come to the conclusion that I have downloaded enough usable content to make the investment worth while. Yes, there is still considerable aggravation and I sometimes am locked out by the "Protected Content" screen (which makes MusicFab unusable), but I have downloaded a great deal of music (including some Discographies). The music sounds good, and as I mentioned before, some of the content is multi-channel encoded, which sounds extremely good, if you have the amplifier (and speakers) to decode it. Is the program ready for "Prime Time?" Well.. no, not really. But if you are willing to put up with the existing problems and (yeah, some still major) issues you can still download some very nice content. You just have to weigh the work, aggravation factor, and the fact that if you're in a good area, you can listen to the same music through the Spotify interface without spending more money; against the potential off-line content you may get and the freedom and versatility that comes with that. It has to be worth it to YOU. The MusicFab browser says that there is a limit of 300 tracks per day, but I have found that in real numbers, it runs around 340. Forty extra tracks may not sound significant, but it is. While the "Fab Teams" are working out these severely impacting issues, I intend to continue to download some great content to listen to "off-line". THE "C" DRIVE CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE CAPTAIN! Hehehe.

Sorry for the late start. I was locked out by the "Protected content" screen for quite come time.

Sigh... I checked all of the check marks under "Output", and it didn't help. All of the multi-disc album was still dumped into one directory. I was hoping that it would put the same track number into a different directory, but it didn't work.

That 5K player you recommended is growing on me. It gives me a nice _raw-output. In other words, it doesn't act as a intermediary or filter, and step on the Multi-Channel encoding going to the decoding amplifier. Even some of the (self proclaimed) higher end" players "get in the way", and the difference is audible. Surprisingly, the native Windows app does a fairly good job also. With the Microsoft Windows teams track record though, I'm waiting on that also to be removed from Windows, and don't want to be reliant on it, as an important tool when it goes away.

#StPeterOrding2015: Thank you. I'll try that. I don't have a problem with any other browser other than MusicFab. I do have a second HDD that I can direct the files to. If this works I'll bet it's an important clue. The Staff probably still have to work on the issue for those that only have one drive. Asking people to purchase an External would probably be a little extreme. Right now, MusicFab just crashed again. I'll play with it tomorrow and post back. However, before you buy a second hard drive, first try to set up a local top-level directory under C:, for example C:\MusicFab\, to save the MusicFab downloads there.

#StPeterOrding2015: I don't need to buy another drive. I already had a D:\ drive. I appreciate the advice, but I mirrored your settings and still spent thirty minutes getting into MusicFab past the "Protected Content" screen. I even turned off the "Open Window After Download." It was the only way to stop that window from being troublesome anyway. I would rather have it open when finished, but there needs to be a way to stop it from appearing "on top". There must be another reason you're not getting that "Protected Content" screen. I'll keep trying though. Thanks for the advice anyway. I really appreciate it.

I've never gotten the protective content screen either and I've gotten like 50+ albums/playlist. I've not touch the settings at all. I also use a VPN, not sure if using a VPN helps or not. My default directory is just Documents/Musicfab.

Yup, Did that! Thanks for the reminder. I use Revo Uninstaller to remove the program and the "left in's" from a "dirty uninstall", but it still misses that folder every time.

Well... So far so good after the re-install (1.0.0.8). I will post back and let you know what happens. I have to make a run down south, and will probably be offline for at least two days. Rats! I forgot to uncheck the Open when finished box after the re-install. MusicFab continues to throw that window on top of what I'm doing and interrupting my work. I like it opening, but if I minimize it it needs to stay minimized. There is no reason for it to open "on top". I'll play with the U.I. before I post back again to see if I get locked out. (hopefully not) I look forward to reading everyone's posts after I get back.

Edit: Short Update. 1.0.0.9 was released before I left. After installing it, I still don't see the "Protected Content" screen and I am not locked out. Unfortunately, I have capped out on downloads and cannot evaluate further. I hope they fixed the problem where all of the tracks from a multiple disc album are going into a single directory. Perhaps someone can give me a heads up before I get back. :)

Well, before I left, It looked like the team had the "protected content" screen licked. Upon my return however, It was the first thing I faced when I opened the interface. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and I still get it. I don't know why some don't.
Edit: Okay! After three reboots and many, many restarts I'm finally in. The first thing I noticed, is when I add a song or album to the Que, I'm bounced all the way back to the top of the list from anywhere in the list. This is new. When working with very long lists, this is more than annoying. I don't know what happened, but I would appreciate it if the team looked into that.

I did not put a double album on the list (silly me) to see if the issue of all the tracks on multiple disc albums going into a single directory has been fixed. I got a late start on this "Project", but I will make a dedicated effort to test this tomorrow and report back.
