Chameleon,
Question: did you use the same 6.1.4.0 installer file this time that you did the first time? The reason why I ask is because I had a strange thing happen when I installed 6.1.4.0. Like you, I download the latest update almost as soon as it comes out, sometimes within minutes. But you seem to install it right away. I, on the other hand, usually wait to see if anyone reports tragic problems. So, I had the early release of the update and I was waiting. Since I was entering reports to the SFCBT I finally felt like I had to install it and I did after doing a complete uninstall using a "professional" uninstaller. [SUP]*[/SUP] As a lot of you know I always modify my updates, adding the latest FFmpeg, mkvmerge, etc.. When I went to add the files into C:\Program Files\DVDFab\StreamFab, the directory wasn't there. I went looking and found the main StreamFab program at C:\Program Files (x86)\DVDFab\StreamFab instead. I doublechecked and I definitely used the x64 version of the offline update that I downloaded from the yellow "sticky" section of this forum. This being hours later from when I first downloaded the update, I redownloaded the update, uninstalled, installed and it went into the right place this time. Stupid me, I should have compared the two update versions and checked their checksums but I didn't and I deleted the original update download. My theory is that DVDFab initially placed a wrong misnamed update out, realized their mistake, and quickly replaced it with the right one without telling anybody. Those that grabbed the update early got a troubling surprise. IF you downloaded the update a second time, that might fit into my theory. If not, I have no idea what that was all about.
[SUP]*[/SUP] "Professional" uninstallers usually come with a 1 year subscription. Since they are pretty much all the same, I get whichever has the best deal at the time. Sometimes I get Revo, sometimes Ashampoo, sometimes O&O, etc. Right now I am using Ashampoo Uninstaller 12.
