Can't add The Curse on Paramount to be downloaded

Confirmed. Something screwy is going on there. It does the Analysis and the selection popup appears but when you tell it to download nothing appears in downloading window. I'll add my log to the next message.

Here are my log files --- StreamFab.log and QEF.log. I included the QEF.log file in the .zip because it had a lot of strange notes in it that I thought might be helpful in figuring it out.

Probably not but I'll look again. I have the Showtime with Paramount deal+ from last year (it's called Essential w/ SHOWTIME® at $7.99/mo.) so I shouldn't have any problems if it does.

Ok, I took a good look and yes, it is listed as a Showtime video but it is listed also in the general list of Paramount+ video. If I start with the general list and attempt to download from there the download simply never shows up in the downloading screen, either as in the queue or a download. If I choose Showtime from the menu list and try to download from that list, the selection popup appears and under it there is a message saying, Oops! and that they are having trouble with that video. Between the popup getting in the way and the message disappearing real quickly I'm not able to read the whole message in its entirety. I also tried another video named Fellow Travelers that was listed as New like The Curse is. It also was a Showtime video and when I tried to download it I got the Oops! message in the background briefly and disappeared. The difference being that the download request made in the popup showed up in downloading screen.

if you have Hulu, The Curse is available on there too.

It is......but Showtime is an add on just like w/ Paramount+ at a cost, can get a trail add on w/Hulu to get it but why......the download doesn't work as is....

I already pay for Paramount+ and Showtime. I don't want to buy Showtime again on Hulu just to watch this. I added my log to my first post as well.

Paramount + added Showtime as part of the package. You can't get Paramount + without Showtime anymore.

You know, I just realized that I've been ripped off $2 per month since about August. As I wrote previously, I got a good deal at the time (August 2022) when Paramount+ came out with the Essential w/ SHOWTIME® plan at $7.99/month. I remember a lot of us on this forum took advantage of that deal. When P+ added Showtime automatically I went to P+ to see how it would affect my plan. I read the article then and just read it now and this is what it said

Your plan remains the same. However, if you change your plan in the future, you will not be able to return to the Essential with SHOWTIME plan, as it is no longer available for purchase.

So, without thinking I did what they said and stayed with it so I wouldn't lose my great deal. Stupid, stupid, stupid! I didn't realize that the new Essential (which contains Showtime) is only $5.99 a month. Those tricky bastards! Before I make the change (finally), is there anything I'm missing? Any limitation different from what I already had?

I paid for a yearly subscription for paramount + showtime. I just looked and it looks like essential is only $5.99 a month, but paramount plus showtime is 11.99 a month. HOWEVER, paramount plus essential includes commercials (and NO Showtime, and NO live TV)

Paramount + plus Showtime yearly is $119.99 so $9.99 a month, plus tax of course.

Yeah, I see where the confusion is coming from and that is from Paramount+. They start off with the line

SHOWTIME is now officially part of Paramount+!

which gives the impression that if you have Paramount+, you also have Showtime now.
Then they post the plans and never quite tell you that Essentials doesn't have Showtime after all. Typical advertising trickery.
And so, I'm still good at $7.99.

I can confirm that "The Curse" will not download from Paramount+ (with Showtime). I CAN view the episode in an external browser (but not StreamFab's browser) so clearly, my subscription to P+ includes the Showtime add-on...

What is it exactly? I am sure it is not affected as I have P+ on Prime, but cannot seem to locate that.

Just tried again. I'm getting endless "Analyzing Metadata Information" (dots moving repeatedly) now instead of nothing appearing in the Download screen.

I just installed 6.1.5.0. I usually wait until the weekend is over to see if the new update is a real disaster or not. It seems that The Curse is downloading just fine now. Both episode 1 and 2. I give 2 thumbs up to Showtime and/or StreamFab for fixing the problem.

Still not working for NCIS: Syndey. Goes through analyzing, lets me pick the episode, etc. Nothing gets added to my queue.

I also was able to grab "The Curse" after the update to 6.1.5.0 but strangely, I not via the "normal" way. Instead of clicking on one of the episodes as usual, the only way I was able to get it to download was to click on the trailer. Doing that allowed me to grab both episode 1 and episode 2 (but no trailer). I'm guessing the later version fixed the problem but something was still being cached on my workstation. Either way, since there are still issues with other Paramount+ downloads, I didn't bother posting any updates since there are now multiple threads regarding these continuing issues...
