Tested an episode of Mr. & Mrs Smith (2024) this morning - cannot download anything but 480p.

Looked at the forum this morning seeing the new update plus the removal of the red banner listing the DRM problems.Was excited to open the new StreamFab update only to find nothing had changed for me.Amazon still downloading at 540p and unable to get anything from CTV using the DRM MPD!Disappointed, to say the least.I suggest you put the red banner back up again as the DRM still needs dev work to fix it to give 1080 or at least 720.Not happy.

Well the change log said nothing about Amazon, and one of the moderator said the dev already told him 6.1.6.6 will not fix Amazon and Netflix yet, so it's no surprise.

A day later, the test version of 6.1.6.6 suddenly appears with no explanation or warning. It quickly became apparent, that the test version was meant to fix a non-DRM download problem in CWTV. I put up a banner briefly (< 5 minutes) telling of that release and telling of my displeasure with the situation. Thankfully, Jack calmed me down and made me see reason, and I took the banner down. I don't want to be the one to write everything is working great when it's not. Remember, I'm a StreamFab user myself, and I'm none too happy about how long this fix is taking to be completed and the lack of any information coming forth from Management about it. If they want to put up a banner, they can do it. After all, they are the only ones that actually know what is going on. This is the last I'm going to say on this matter.

BWKattandersWell, not being involved in developing StreamFab: is there anything you would say as a developer if you don't have any working solution? Would you tell folks "hey, no ETA but working on it" (which is what had been done already) or do you want more insight on what they tried without success? Nobody would tell you an ETA if it's not really around-the-corner... which it obviously is not ATM.They are working as hard as they can. No ETA... period.I don't need nobody repeating themselves.What I want is an update, but words simply cannot not help here.Read the list of changes in any product update carefully and you will be informed. If no word about Amazon or Netflix is in these lists, nothing has changed. Still working on it... no ETA. ;-)

Only certain MCU Movies and TV Shows before mid-2022 and a bunch of other random ones are available in 1080p because of the keys.db that was leaked containing keys for 1080p content

The films I grabbed were 2021 and 2022 films, but recently (within the last month) added to Amazon JP. But I just tried to download a film from the American Amazon Prime account and, despite it being available in 1080p, it downloaded at 480p. :( So maybe Amazon.co.jp hasn't updated their DRM to be as strict as the American site? Thanks for the question.

The funny thing is, I was able to download ALL of the Tudors on Amazon in 1080p... except ONE episode that will only download in 540p. Season 2 Episode 8. Not sure why that ONE episode wants to go below HD, but there you have it.

ok, just to be clear..... I have Paramount+ THROUGH my amazon prime login.. and I am pretty sure those downloads are in a lower bitrate too.

I think it's "fully back to normal". 1080p was possible before but only for some titles, and that still seems to be the case. I just tested by downloading "Liv and Maddie" S1E1 and it came as 1080p.

Paramount+ through Amazon has been working for me using both Versions 6161 and 6163, I can download anything except the most recent releases (although a couple of NCIS episodes got the "failure to access" messages).

Crunchyroll on the other hand, the downloadable contents diminishes each day...

Surprised new content is still only SD when the competition has been sorted for weeks now. Lets be honest , who bothers downloading HD content at anything less than 720?
I'm waiting on C4 as there's a movie on there I want to download I just hope the DRM is fixed before the movie is removed

I saw the post and wondered about such an email.....

Could it be that @theresay is referring to the marketing emails that are sent out which make reference to things which we all know are various degrees of misinformation..... because as I recall..... the last two or three specifically have headlined with StreamFab having done some improvements or fixes with DRM..... and I'm fairly sure they also made reference to being ahead of the competition.....

I wish I had one of the emails to post but whenever I see them..... I do a cursory look..... shake my head..... and delete them.

Just tried to download Terminal List episodes 2 and 3 (the rest of the season was downloaded with 6161 without issues), and it gives me a choice of 15000, 8000, and 4000 kbps for 1080p. Looks like re-encoding to me.

Also tried to download some anime in Crunchyroll prime channel that were released a couple of years ago and only 540p is downloaded despite it offering 1080p when parsing

The Amazon module is back to normal for content added prior to January 25th 2024 and lower resolutions for newer content with 6.1.6.6. The 6.1.6.6 update contains the most DRM fixes at this time out of all the recent updates and contains NO re-encoding. 6.1.6.6 should be the update that every user is using at this time.
If you are still having problem with Amazon videos from prior to January 25th 2024, here is my suggestion text...

My suggestion is to do a clean installation of the latest StreamFab release, meaning use a "professional Uninstaller" such as Revo, Ashampoo, and many others (Google "Uninstallers" for additional free and pay programs) to uninstall SF. Right now, I prefer the Ashampoo - . Revo sometimes makes you reboot your computer.

1) Delete your StreamFab Log and Temp folders.
2) Run your uninstaller and remove the existing StreamFab including the registry entries. At one point, it will ask you if you want to save your StreamFab configuration. Say NO. A StreamFab window will come up and ask why you are uninstalling, choose Other and type Clean Install.
3) Start reinstall using latest offline update file. I prefer to get mine from the Sticky at the top of this forum.
4) A StreamFab popup will ask for your email/password to authorize your StreamFab. Give your DVDFab email/password, not your forum email/password, if different.
5) Ignore all the garbage advertisements. I don't think I have to tell you that.
6) Reset up your Settings and the GUI the way you want it to look.
7) It is always best to close and then open StreamFab at this point.
8) Give StreamFab a try.
