Absolutely no idea what you mean. I just pointed out that with your constant complaining, you're getting on people's nerves in every post. In which universe have I violated any mod's instructions?

And speaking of criticism: what I wrote was criticism, and this here as well.

So, if you want to ban me, you should ban yourself as well. Or can't you handle criticism?

Criticism is good. What you're doing is blaming, and that in every post. Day after day. Everyone knows it's currently frustrating, but as a mod, you have a role model function, and your flaming doesn't cast a good light on you and your team. It's just annoying to read the same from the same guy over and over again.

You don't write every day that Streamfab is crap and that the devs can't get their act together properly.

I mean, I just find that he keeps mentioning it over and over and such statements don't help other users at all, but rather have the opposite effect, driving users away.

Brozilla, it's fine if you have a complaint, but address it as YOUR complaint. You have a tendency to voice it as if you are speaking for others, you are not speaking for me, and as far as I can tell no one has joined in on your crusade. You've also referenced "driving users away" with nothing to validate such a claim. Please stick to voicing your objections for what they are, YOUR objections and stop trying to act like you have others in the community is behind you. Thanks.

Putting aside the manner in which he may say certain things..... is there anything that @Cats4U has said which is untrue?..... I wish the answer to that was Yes..... because that would mean the download modules would be working a lot more than they are..... however..... I'm sure you'll agree..... he's being accurate.....

The first item you mentioned..... He's just answering a question that I asked regarding why the most current update was even released..... and his answer I'm sure was the manifestation of numerous frustrations caused by StreamFab management..... who at the bare minimum..... should at least have the professional courtesy..... to inform the moderators of actions prior to their undertaking instead of leaving them twisting in the wind..... so if you want to be upset with someone about that "To totally annoy me and Jack?" remark..... be upset with me because I was the catalyst..... Although if I were worried about you or anyone else getting upset..... I wouldn't have asked the question.....

As for his second remark..... Do you realize there are items that have been broken not for weeks..... not for months..... but some going on close to two years..... that still aren't fixed..... so let me ask you..... Don't YOU wonder how this company manages to stay in business?..... My info over in the left column says I've been a member since 2011..... but it's further back then that..... and I can remember a company when before you could report a problem..... a new version was already issued with the fix incorporated..... Where did that company go?..... So are you complaining because he used the word "asinine" as an adjective..... or because you disagree with him and think we all should just keep our mouths shut being thankful we're allowed to spend our money for what's become a substandard product?..... No thanks!.....

Moving on to the third remark..... The "WTF" remark..... All I can offer you there is..... just like the guy said in "Risky Business"..... "Sometimes you gotta say..... 'What the Fuck'..... make your move..... Every now and then saying 'What the Fuck' brings freedom."..... So this was probably just another spot where that frustration I mentioned earlier was needed to vent..... because you have to admit..... some of these posts would make even the Pope say "WTF"..... In fact I just got done reading a thread where @Cats4U made the statement about PEACOCK regarding content before and after February 22nd..... and two posts later..... TWO POSTS!..... someone is talking about they can't download new PEACOCK content so maybe the DRM problem hit PEACOCK also..... "WTF!".....

The fourth remark regarding the marketing department..... I read the same emails everyone else does..... and the degree of misleading and untruths is appalling..... It's one thing to embellish..... It's quite another to say whatever it takes to sell subscriptions regardless of whether what StreamFab says actually works.....

And then there's your "and many many many many more" remark..... Come on, Man!..... You know as well as I do..... if you had more..... you would have included more..... That line is an overused platitude which you should really avoid in the future because it weakens any position you're trying to convince others to adopt..... That's especially true when you use "many many many many more" before using "many many many more"..... That's a classic breach of etiquette akin to using a "triple dog dare" before a "double dog dare".....

So when all is said and done..... It's not that you disagree with anything @Cats4U has said..... because if you're being totally honest with yourself.....you're not happy with the way things are being run here either..... Your displeasure boils down to the manner with which he chooses to say it.....

But this is the bottom line..... Any criticism he's made..... is exactly how things are..... It would be completely different if the remarks were untrue..... but unfortunately for the Users..... they're spot on..... StreamFab is in trouble..... and in my humble opinion..... without the guy you want to run out of town on a rail..... along with the efforts of his partner..... the situation would be much worse..... so you really should consider giving this a rest!.....

And just between me and you..... your first post was a bad idea..... but this second one now?..... Really bad idea!..... Really really really really bad idea!..... I know..... breach of etiquette.....

I personally think it is refreshing to see a Moderator who tells it like it is and gets a little salty. Most forum moderators are just bland mouthpieces for the software trying to BS everyone about any issues. Viva Cats!

Guys, let's focus on the real problem. DRM has been expanded and many things no longer work. The users are frustrated, the developers are under pressure to find an exploit and the moderators are in the middle - under fire from the users and inadequately informed by the developers.
When a mod calls a spade a spade instead of sugarcoating it, I personally find it much more valuable.
Regarding updates, the anger probably comes from the fact that updates have not yet solved the actual problem... but in this "agile" world of development, regular updates have become mandatory - regardless of whether they are of benefit to many or just a few - or for nobody.
To tell the honest truth,I prefer to be able to rather download at 540p than not at all - nothing stops me from downloading again once it is back to HD ... I started out with VHS copies, then SVHS, VCD was a break through converting content for hours and hours before DVD burning was possible ... I'm also eagerly waiting to download in HD again, but hey, at least we can still get stuff in near DVD quality. So, let's just calm down for now, leave the developers to it and don't give the mods any more grey hair.
Btw. @Cats4U thanks for moving one of my early posts to the correct forum rather than giving a stupid comment such as someone else did.

Just wanted to say thank you to @Cats4U(and the other moderators). From what I've read over the past several years overall posts show nothing but support for the product and trying to make it better, nothing that is trashing the product, just calling out issues to try to get them fixed. Cats has been responding with the reality of the situations vs blowing smoke.

I know I personally have not been pleased but I don't put anywhere near the amount of time that the moderators do on the forum and testing the software. There have been too many missteps/knee-jerk reaction/repeating mistakes of past releases over the past months versions. I don't see anything but trying to get correct info out with a little frustration but also some humor mixed in(maybe I just read it in where it's not intended). Also, while I get frustrated when the product doesn't work, a little perspective as to what the software is--it's not any miracle cure/must have for anything.

I'll end with just saying thank you Cats for the time you put into this.

Hey children, this is the StreamFab forum. This is so far off-topic that I can't even believe it's still here. Can you discuss the product or cut the crap about the Mods, they have done an admirable job under stressful circumstances. I am out of here.

Sure, everyone can say what they want, but there are still forum rules. I wouldn't have said anything, but if you have to read the same thing from the same moderator for over a month, it starts to get annoying. A moderator should definitely not behave like that.

I didn't claim it's wrong. In this post, I even mentioned that the current situation is frustrating. That's why a moderator should behave professionally, de-escalate the situation, and not escalate it further.

It's not just this post from him. The constant annoyance has been going on since the DRM change, which was on 25.01. Every day, I have to read the flaming from this moderator. There are hardly any situations where he actively helps someone solve a problem that might not be DRM-related. If it's about DRM again, his flaming starts all over again.

I am well aware that there are some things that don't work. I have also reported many things over the years that have not been fixed to this day.

And as I said before, I don't mind that you are frustrated, but I do mind that you have to mention it in every post. I KNOW IN THE MEANTIME THAT YOU ARE PISSED OFF, just like everyone else here. I don't write it in every day, for example.

I received a warning because I criticized him. He also threatened to ban me because I criticized him.

He is allowed to express harsh criticism and spam.

That's all I care about. If he hadn't warned me for no reason, I wouldn't have written about it anymore.

I agree with you completely. A little criticism never hurt anyone. It's only when you get constantly upset about it and sometimes take it out on users who can't help it that it's not so good.

I mean, you come here fresh. You look at a few posts and you see almost only how someone is being yelled at by a moderator because they don't like the current situation.

But, what you fail to realize is that Jack and I and Management make the rules and enforce them here. You don't. Both Jack and I have provided you with written testimony that Management likes what we do and say, and in fact promoted us to Moderators (Administrator, actually) because of it. Furthermore, every reply from users here to your diatribes have been in our favor. The more that you continue, the more of a fool you make yourself. You need to chill out. This is the end of it.
