Thanks fabuloustream I tried uninstalling the version I had and installed version 6.1.6.1 and now I get the endless Hulu location prompt.
T90210
Using Windows StreamFab 6.1.6.7 x64..... I just got done downloading from HULU.....
"Animal Control S2 E1-4"..... 1080p..... H265..... with subtitles..... No Reencoding.....
"The Cleaning Lady S3 E1-5"..... 1080p..... H265..... with subtitles..... No Reencoding.....
I couldn't attempt "Resident Alien" because that's available through HULU with LIVE TV and my subscription doesn't include that option..... and also..... for some reason..... on my laptop..... "The Amazing Race" only showed up to Season 33 in StreamFab's internal browser..... so I couldn't attempt that.....
I have enclosed a continuous log file as verification.....
One question..... Are you familiar with the Windows
System Restore Function?..... and if you are..... is it possible for you to go into your
System Restore Function..... and see if there is a
Restore Point for you to use to get back behind the point when HULU stopped working?..... You'd have to have an idea when HULU stopped working..... but it's worth considering and it doesn't hurt to look.....
I don't mean to insult your knowledge level..... but if you're unaware..... you can check on your available date and time restore options by typing "
System Restore" in your task bar search box..... then click on the "
System Restore app"..... then click
(1) "
next"..... then click
(2) "
show more restore points"..... and you'll see whatever
Automatic Restore Points have been generated by Windows..... and there may be a possibility that you can go back to a point where HULU was still running successfully for you.....
It's worth a look..... and you can't hurt anything by looking..... just make sure you either click
(3) "
cancel"..... or click the
(3) "
X" in the upper right hand to close the dialog box.....
I attached some screenshots with the referenced numbers of what to click on.....
and while we're on the subject..... there are two types of
System Restore Points..... there are the ones I mentioned..... the
Automatic Restore Points that the system generates based on a frequency setting that's controlled in a registry entry..... which can easily be modified but that's a discussion for another time..... and there are
Manual Restore Points which you yourself can create..... and..... it is a good habit to get into..... whenever you are doing any type of software update..... the absolute first thing you should do is
Manually Create a Restore Point..... and for ease of identification..... you can label them..... so if you were about to update to StreamFab 6.1.7.0..... you would create a
Restore Point and label it..... "
PRIOR TO 6.1.7.0 INSTALL"..... That's just a thought..... It's saved me on quite a few occasions over the years..... The restore..... should you ever need to use it..... doesn't touch any personal files..... just any updated programs and registry entries are returned to their previous state.....
So maybe taking a look at the
System Restore Function could solve your problem..... if not..... I may also know another way..... or some other User may have a suggestion worth a try.
