I've had this common problem too. What has worked for me is to cancel the list when it starts doing that go back to the album and/or song I'm trying to DL, play one/the song and pause it after it starts playing, then go back to Downloading. What I think is going on is that MF isn't connecting to the server and by playing something it connects.
