And don't even think that SF is to blame for this in any way
Im
far away from
blaming anybody. Just tried to tie strings together and get logical answers and solutions, if available. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
keep passing your password around
Nope. Just
my Family and me - I've got grown up Kids, myself and my wife. That's it. TV Sets, smartphones and tablets together count 10+.
No other "
sharing". Just Familiy and me. But of course, the kids have there own homes in the meantime...
cracking down on password sharing
10+ devices all in the same physical household
Still wondering how the Streamers figure out whether a tablet is mine or not, if I travel around in business or on holiday abroad, having different IP-Adresses from the Hotels where I stay overnight and would like to watch movies on Netflix...? HOW to they determine that the account I'm using is really the one I PAY FOR instead of a "password shared" one? Because it was initally loged in being at my hone, using a DYNAMIC IP Adress? Being in the Internet-Business for years, knowning how DHCP-Servers work, I still have NO IDEA how the streamers figure out which devices are "legal" to an account and which are not.
To be clear: NO, I DO
NOT share my account
outside from my wife and my kids... ...and Netflix works fine on all registered devices. I just encountered the isuess when trying to do downloads with StreamFab since V9.1.9.3... ....and I am wondering why, hoping to find soltutions and hints here.
limiting your access to their published maximum amounts as listed here
I pay for a "premium" account, 18 €/month. My account shows only 4 "devices", although there should be more. Weird...
If you lose your account, it is no one's fault but your own
ok, well, then they will lose a 216€/year value, who has only FOUR devices "registered"? Sorry, it seems that I did not understand how this works... ...this is why I'm looking for help. Not blaming anybody, but trying to understand.
