I don't know @Wilson Wang why you don't test these releases before you put them out. I had everything that I ever bother with working proper in 6.2.1.3. Then you released the Turd of the Week, 6.2.1.4.
Used a professional uninstaller like I usually do.
installed from scratch, full install of x64 executable.
Logged back in to several services, including YouTube, and tried to download a friend's video.
YouTube recognizes the video and allows me to download it by clicking on the yellow button. Download starts after analysis for under 100kb and then stops and goes back to analysis mode. Eventually comes back with red lettering saying failure. Forbidden code "403." It downloads fine with other programs.
Pasting the link address without being on YouTube itself has the same results. Loading a file of links produces the same results.

If not sign-in and not using vpn it works for me in SF 6213 and 6214

@Germania, it worked just fine in 6.2.1.3 with being signed in. I am signed in with version 6.2.1.4 and I am NOT using a VPN.
As you know, for anything requiring an 18+ age, one must sign in. It is broken either way. :(

This one is fun... it goes to error 403 forbidden at about 30% downloaded. I select AV1 4K. You would figure all or none.
In the time it took me to reload Open Video Downloader, it just auto-updated another version of yt-dlp (it checks every time I load the program).

Currently, if you go to the top of this forum, there are pinned/sticky topics that have the last 3 versions of the windows version as well as the last 2 versions of the Mac version. I'm not sure how long they will stay there, so the best way going forward would be to always go to this forum, download the latest version form the pinned/sticky topic and keep it. That way if the next version doesn't work, you can always go back to the previous one you saved. If you do it this way, you don't have to pay for the extended service they offer.

There are people who got the extended download, so can't assume most don't have it.
And if there was a dollar for EVERY TIME, it's been said, to SAVE older versions of SF, to those who don't have extended download, it would be a huge amount of money by now.
You can get a pack of several 32GB to 64GB USB sticks and save there if you don't have the space or want to save them on an HD.
And then people can always go back to older versions. I am still on 6212, soon looking to see what newer version has the issues fixed caused by 6213 + 6214.

People should get a REAL YouTube downloader many many are free there are a few for maybe $25 lifetime and all if not most get updated 2 to 3 times a week, as needed.

SF will never get YTM movies above 480p no matter if they have a * clause, which has again disappeared, saying they can't.
So no need to download at all from anything YouTube with SF.

Yes, YT will not let me see the video unless I sign in to CONFIRM my AGE

I tried going back to 6213, 6214 and 6212 and now getting 403 Forbidden. my YT is still logged in. hope its gonna be fixed seems like when they fix one thing they always end up breaking YT
