SF 6221 - New authorization required for empty MAC?

The main point for this is to first get SF to admit that there is a limit on deauthorizations. And to get the blank MAC removed from those who have the issue.
The second would be nice to know how they calculate how many users get. It seems from all the posts, most with 5 authorizations get 4 deauthorizations. That's one less than total authorizations. I somehow have 5 less deauthorizations than authorizations. Now like I said in one of my other posts I did have to get a new computer back in 2022. I don't recall how I deauthorized that computer, but that might explain why I have 5 less deauthorizations and not 1 less like others. Most everything is just GUESS work for members here. NOWHERE does it say there is a limit, but we know we have seen the popups in the member center. NOWHERE does it say that the number is increased over time or reset, which may explain why I have still 5 less deauthorizations (since 2022) than authorizations instead of 1 less deauthorization.

I agree with Germania that NO one should suffer even a loss of 1 due to an SF blunder with their servers.

The only things that can be done is wait to see if Wilson does reply here (as no other staff seem to interject any info), although this started Wednesday.
OR Deauthorize the offending item in the member center, risking losing a deauthorization.
OR contact feedback/support and ask them to do it, like a member says they did (here).

And also as I stated before it’s most likely In DVDFabs infinite wisdom I would not be surprised if people were somehow exploiting the deactivating of devices so now limit them. Thus, punishing those of us who DON'T!!

Maybe be less speedy in updating SF, as I wait at least a day before installing and running after updates are released now. So I don't need to contact SF feedback/support as I never had this issue. By the time I tried to install and run it, it must have been fixed, and I assumed it was because of how I did things on my computer by using 6219 + 6220. For what services I use, there was nothing that 6220 could not download that 6221 could.

ONE LAST THING THIS GOES FOR ALL DVDFAB AND UNIFAB PRODUCTS they ALL are limited to the same amount of deauthorizations as SF so if you deauthorize another dvdfab or unifab product via the member center a good chance SF deauthorizations will decrease as well and vice versa.

I just did death-fresh install-auth and got, the counter literally pops out when you authorise (granted people can just be clicking OK without reading, but the prompts are usually there for a reason):-

Thank you for suggesting that I could just click on OK without reading anything first.
Firstly, I wrote that the window with the information about a deauthorization counter did not appear at my try to deauthorize.
Secondly, your screenshot of the authorization window clearly states “you can deauthorize this computer at any time.”

However, this discussion will not help any of us anyway, and we can only wait and see what the official side will say/do about it.

Of course there's a limit. You don't get unlimited deauthorizations. That'd open things up for so much abuse it's not funny

That limit also gets reset periodically, so there's no worry about having to go beyond it.

Should credit be given? No. Yes, they screwed up, and it will be fixed. However, unless you're abusing the system, you don't need to deauthorize anything at all. So, hitting that once or twice a year is not even going to hit limits.

License Entitlement Terms

According to DVDFab License Agreement, a single computer license for a single product line entitles the user to use it on only one computer. However, there may be times when you need to use the purchased product on two or more devices. To give you a better experience, we provide you with the option to purchase a multi-computer license and a multi-mobile license.

1. Currently, the multi-PC license product line includes DVDFab, StreamFab, PlayerFab, UniFab, Passkey, Toolkit, Photo Enhancer AI, Video Enhancer AI and Media Recover.

2. Currently, the StreamFab product line offers both multi-computer and multi-mobile license options.

3. Device licenses are divided by operating system and product line. For example, a multi-computer license for the DVDFab product line cannot be applied to other product lines such as StreamFab, and a multi-computer license for Windows cannot be applied to MacOS.

4. The validity of the multi-device license depends on the validity period of the purchased product.

5. New devices can be authorized at any time through the client. Of course, authorized devices can also be deauthorized at any time through the client.

6. If you deactivate a product of one product line (e.g. StreamFab) on a computer, the products of other product lines (e.g. DVDFab, PlayerFab, UniFab, etc.) on that computer will not be affected and can still be used normally.

7. If you need to deactivate a computer/mobile device that can no longer be accessed, you can deactivate the computer/mobile device in the User Center. If you have any further questions, you can submit a ticket to.

8. When purchasing a multi-PC license, please specify which product line and computer operating system you want to purchase the license for. For example, if you purchase a multi-PC device license for the UniFab product line, you cannot use it with the PlayerFab product line. If the license for your original product is for the Windows platform, you cannot purchase a multi-PC license for MacOS. And vice versa.

9. The price of a 3-PC license for each product line is 29.99€ and includes 3 additional computers with the same operating system for 3 licenses.

10. The price of the 3-Mobile license is 29.99€ and includes 3 additional licenses for 3 mobile devices of the same system.

@Wilson.Wang , I now see the same PC with the same Mac address twice. The error has not yet been fixed on the server! The developer should check it.

Also, why do deauthorizations now have a counter? The license conditions state:

New devices can be authorized at any time via the client. Of course, authorized devices can also be deauthorized again at any time via the client.

I believe the limitation is deauthorization through the website only, No limit to deauthorize via the client.
