Can't confirm for amazon.de - just tried two different series with
English Dialogue Boost: High AAC and Boost: Medium EAC3 => no Audio Description
I just know it is doing it, and for at least 2 shows I downloaded.
And I did report it to support but got the make sure descriptive audio is off, and it's NEVER checked or selected. I reported it back on 2024-11-09.
After which they just say keep saying wait for future versions and close the issue. Or more like it was passed onto the developer and close the issue.
If it is just certain areas or shows, it will never get fixed.
And the fact that cleverget also does the exact same thing when selecting audio boost high and SF does on audio boost high EAC3, that tells me now with you saying some shows don't, it's still an Amazon issue, maybe limited to the USA, and/or the shows selected but still something with Amazon.
Other downloaders just ignore the audio boost options and don't even offer them.
I just finally made myself accept using just normal EAC3 now with no dialog boost. I also do know it did not happen with movies for me. But now also just use plain EAC3 for movies.
When it did happen, I had a batch full of useless shows telling me a bald guy is on-screen or some crap. Deleted them all and stopped using dialogue boost.
ADDED: Now I did try another show, and it does not happen, so it 'is certain shows' with Amazon or maybe cause the 2 I tried are available on freevee. Whatever it is, it's Amazon, and can't expect SF or another program to fix it. Which is why I think other programs just ignore and don't show dialogue boost
as an option. In the end, it's going to now look like hijacking the topic as the OP can't get specific show or shows to download and I still go with an Amazon issue there too.
