Youtube only returning audio stream after analysis?

Image says it all. Download as is only showing "audio". No video to select.
Not sure when this started, I just tried this afternoon, using 6.2.4
Tried multiple videos, multiple authors, same results every time. No video , only audio in the dropdown

Yeah, must be more changes by YT. Hope it's temporary but will have to see. 6239 also tested with same result.

With yt-dlp I get

yt-dlp may not work, and it seems it doesn't, but JDownloader may work; it did at least for the 2 videos I tested.

Of course I can dl with yt-dlp (stable) via m3u8 in FHD from YT ..
.. but m3u8 is apparently not used by SF

youtube download still works, just copy the URL and paste it in the paste URL's box (upper right hand corner)
video downloads & plays ok for me.

When I do that, the analyzing never stops ..
.. even if I only select 1080p (which I got with yt-dlp for same title) instead of "Best Quality" (4k)

Something about that I never liked, so I don't use it. JDownloader or thanks to Germania yt-dlp with the added command --no-warnings works fine.
Still hoping it's a temp YT issue, but if not, it may take time for SF to adjust to it properly.

And I know this video is available in 720 at least, and get this below using the paste URL option

Confirmed. I updated from 6238 to 6240 because I thought the 'improvements made to YT enging" were related to my problem. NOPE.
Just checked with my usual backup, Open Video Downloader, it works fine.

Errrr, scratch that. With Open Video Downloader, h264 and vp9 available, not av1. (it did not find a yt-dlp update at the moment)

Having this same issue today all of a sudden on the mac version; unable to paste in URL for playlist either, as it gives me choices, nothing happens when I click download. Yesterday I could capture an old show; today cannot capture another show long out of print I wanted to watch offline.

Was confirming this is a cross platform issue with YouTube using Streamfab. The thread is about how we are unable to capture a program to download using Streamfab, where the video option is not appearing, only audio. Thanks for your useless comment.

Having this same issue today all of a sudden on the mac version; unable to paste in URL for playlist either, as it gives me choices, nothing happens when I click download. Yesterday I could capture an old show; today cannot capture another show long out of print I wanted to watch offline.

TO CLARIFY: I am having the same issue on both Windows11 and macOS, getting only the audio option when trying to download videos, as of June 9.

Thanks for the clarification, as you made no mention of Windows11 before. Obviously, Windows and Mac use different coding. The Mac version could have a problem and the Windows version be just fine, or vice versa. That is why we set up a separate forum to eliminate the confusion that was happening when there was just a single StreamFab forum.
As for the so-called "useless comment," I admit that I mixed up the issue with another topic that I had read just prior to reading this one. It concerned someone trying to download a record album (meaning audio) from YouTube. It goes by the title "SF not working" if you want to look it up.

Hi, no worries. :) I have bad habit of typing stuff on my ipad which is more shorthand than sitting at my desktop pc with proper clicky keyboard. Stupidly I forgot the "general topic" is meant for Windows and not "all versions" which I knew, but brain locked up there :) My duh. My intent was to chime in on the fact something was up with YouTube as unable to download any videos all of a sudden (was fine all weekend). Same issue today. I posted a comment in the proper forum for Mac, albeit probably duplication at this point.

So, am I supposed to get a free cat or something? (kidding) :)

You should have asked when we had 47 of them. I run a cat rescue, but we are starting to phase it out as both my wife and I qualified as disabled in the last few years. Running a rescue is a lot of work. We're down to just 11 cats now, which will probably remain in the family.

It works fine for me, but I had to add YoutubeToMP3Process to the firewall manually.
