Are they downloading from their own region, or are they VPNing to another region? As for the 100 files a day, the very most a people could actually watch in a single day would 48 half-hour shows. Hour long shows and movies are even less. It's very easy for them to know that you aren't just binge-watching. Greed ruins it for everybody.On the other hand, if Amazon (or anyone else) wants to ban me, that's fine with me. They'd be out subscription money for Amazon Prime and three other providers that I get over Amazon now. I wind up with more dollars in my pocket, and I'll still be able to get all the files I want via Torrenting. It's their loss, not mine. I guarantee that the time will come in a short amount of time that Amazon will offer downloads for a few extra dollars as part of their subscriptions. They don't really care that you are downloading, they just want to be the one making the money off it and not a third party like DVDFab.

A few quick thoughts- AWS "knows" when you request each title, if you have the regular account (with ads) it might be triggering no ads watched tripwire, also, they might have a trigger to see if you "got the title" but Amazon's player doesn't register the title as "watched"The short of it is: it's naïve to assume that someone at amazon hasn't worked out what the difference between genuine player and what SF does (even just going off the ads, recall it's an avenue stream that SF deprives of the corporation that's posting billions in net profit)

Reddit had several people; in fact, one thread was deleted.I don't know what is setting this in motion. I haven't seen anyone post about it here in the forum till now.In the other deleted thread, it was from Amazon uk. Not sure if there is just an issue with the UK version, or it's something that will spread out over all of Amazon, including Amazon.com.I suppose in a way, they may have found something they are trying and focusing on; many I know do 100 max downloads a day. I know there were times when I did 100 per day for several days in a row.Some are wondering why just getting the email now; it could be that they just started to implement it. Now I don't have the demand to do 100 per day. I do still see where it can be hard. We talked before about an increase to 200 or more for Amazon because people are buying Paramount and many other providers through Amazon. If you have 3 other providers and count Amazon as well, that's 4, divide 100 by 4 that gives you 25 downloads per provider per day.All that can be done is watch the situation, and if you need 100, maybe try to spread it out at 10 to 25, then take a break and repeat.In the end, they can possibly lose money if they keep letting people download, but no matter what, it will continue, and to ban or block paying people from watching or using Prime for watching movies or shows really can cause a loss of money as well. I think some common sense would come into play too, if the VPN use itself is not the trigger. If all you do is rip, and never actually watch shows on your Prime Video account, that would trigger me if it were my service. I try to watch shows on my Prime account quite a bit via my Apple TV and I have the full upgraded Prime subscription, as well as couple of addon channels. Sorry if that was 'captain obvious' comment, but I'm actually in midst of downloading some stuff for my new movie box in living room, some to replace ancient dvd isos of discs I purchased, as my movie box gets confused by mult-disc sets per season, so the ripped versions (e.g., Invader Zim, etc.) is way more practical. Keeping eye on this topic since top of mind. Kinda been going nuts on Amazon downloads as it was a way to get many of my Apple legit purchases as downloads for my new movie box which cannot use the Apple 'app' at all.

No need to make another account.
Buy the gift card then when you purchase ensure all your payment methods are deleted so it defaults to the gift card then the purchase goes through. You also need to have a US address in place you can change to when purchasing. Then change back after purchase and add your original card back in.
Using a VPN also enables you to do the free downloads for things on Prime that might not be on Prime in your own country.

I don't think he's talking about making the burner account to buy the gift card. He's saying he made a burner account in case Amazon can still detect the downloading via SF.

So basically he was saying that he was able to buy a movie with a gift card. Just so happens he did it on his burner account.

Create the account and use the address and gift card
If they force you to put in a phone number, you can use a service like PingMe, 5sim, SMS-Activate or SMS-Man. I use the Conversations app on my phone with a Jabber phone number i got from JMP.chat. I did not pay to get the phone number, but I pay about $20 a year (IIRC) in Bitcoin for all the features of the Conversations app.

Things to know

To subscribe to channels, you can only do it from the prepaid Visa/MC. You cannot subscribe to a channel with an Amazon Gift Card
Once you are subscribed to a channel, you can setup your backup funds to come from an Amazon Gift Card. If your prepaid runs out of funds, Amazon will take from the Amazon Gift Card. As long as you don't unsubscribe, it will continue to work. If you unsub and want to resub, you need funds on your prepaid card.
You can buy Movies and TV Shows with just an Amazon Gift Card.
You cannot buy a US Amazon Gift Card from your home country. You need to go to Amazon.com to buy a US gift card, Amazon.ca for a Canadian gift card, etc... You can then gift it to your burner account.

If you want to use an Amazon Canada account to save money because of the exchange rate or simply to get stuff not available in the US on some channels like Paramount+ and AMC+ (Noticed a lot of different stuff between US and Canada for those two) but you can't get a Canadian Visa Gift card, request to follow me so you can DM me and I can buy a card for you. Quid pro quo possible depending on where you are from.

P.S. No instructions for US people who want to create US burner account as it's pretty straightforward. You can buy a prepaid card online from multiple websites, including official ones from Visa and MC

since then, i have downloaded stuff from a few amazon channels, and i didnt receive a new mail / a ban.

So i m pretty sure, this is only about renting/buying movies - downloading - then returning it.

Not necessarily. If he was downloading with versions lower than 6.2.4.7 AFTER the 1st reports of the email, then we cannot be sure.

These emails are clearly being sent in batches so that Sophos systems don't flag them and blacklist the mail servers.

The only way to truly know is to use an account that has never downloaded with anything lower than 6.2.4.7

We don't know how many of these emails are being sent at the same time. What if they emailed everyone over the past month, and now they only send 3 or 4 emails per day?

Would be easy to see which user was sent an email at that specific date and time

If I can add a little to this, they are definitely looking back several weeks for activity, or they're back-logged.
So if you had activity when the first notices were reported you may not be in the clear yet.

I did the same thing most did when noticing this thread a while back.
I even checked my messages at the time and didn't see anything.

But it didn't help.

*Sorry for the vagueness, just trying to say its hard to gauge how long before someones in the clear. Right now weeks isn't long enough.
