No, I have never seen that. I thought maybe you had video track set to disable, but when I load another movie, it resets to display Track 1.
Maybe try uninstalling the VLC player, going to the VLC website, and installing it again?
Part of my problem with doing many tests is that I use MKV and AV1 for Netflix, but I just downloaded a movie in h264 and it played.
(I just happened to choose Netflix.)
