HULU freebies on Disney+ Error on 4K

Not critical; just some feedback that I’m finding that the “free to watch from HULU” movies, like Rocky Horror, won’t download in 4k from Disney+ VIP with latest release build. Tried two days, get a 602 error or similar and “failed.” I no longer have paid HULU account, only full D+ account. Everything else works perfectly (yay). Been grabbing some stuff I actually own on gen1 bluray as 1080p, to have local copies in 4k for posterity. So very happy this works now :)

this was the case with grabbing dovi/hdr from Disney+ on hulu titles for a while, kept running into that (and I had both hulu and d+ subs), but now that hulu is being discontinued as a stand-alone service, hopefully, D+ will fold those in neatly and pain-free like they do everywhere outside the US.

Have not had any issues getting HULU on Disney+ stuff in 1080p; it’s only the 4K that errors out in either SD, or HDR. Not huge issue for me; just some feedback in case anybody else runs into this with the “free on Disney+ from HULU” featured items, and the new 4K downloads.

That’s precisely it, since DoVi/HDR was available through SF on D+, 1080p came out fine, as soon as you tried even 1080p DoVi/HDR for a hulu title that was “disney-ed through” you’d get 602-ed at the processing stage, that problem existed before the 4K availability ;)

Its been my experience that if the analyze screen defaults to h264 changing that to h265 will cause it not to download. Like others have said this is the Hulu on D+ stuff like Rocky Horror. Sometimes you can’t tell what is what though and you get the Error Code 602. I have also noticed it downloads the video and fails in the processing stage, which gives me hope that it can be fixed. Be patient folks, you have a lot to download from Marvel and Star Wars that will take up a few days or maybe even a week of your 100 per day! Thanks for the amazing update StreamFab team!
