Are there any plans to add modules for Hoopla or Kanopy. They are free services tied to US public library.

I don’t think so, because both work fine with DRM Downloader

Okay, you cannot select series (multiple episodes),
but this does not make much sense with these providers,
as you have a very limited number of rentals available.

@Germania how are you kicking off the DRM MPD downloader for Hoopla?

I reserved a movie title in Hoopla in my regular Chrome browser and copied the URL.

I’ve tried by pasting the direct playback URL into SF from the home page, and the video plays in SF, but the download button is disabled and SF shows “this site is not supported”.

I also tried from the Downloads page (via the PASTE URL button) but nothing happens - no message, no change to the queue.

I also tried in SF using the URL for the Hoopla home page, going to My Hoopla, then opening the info page for the movie.

I’ve never really used the DRM-MPD standalone downloader before, so I feel like I’m missing something in how to use it …

(Note: I’m using SF 7.0.0.5 - just saw you were using 6.2.6.1, so I’m wondering if support for Hoople broke since then.)

My Free Library in the USA discontinued Hoopla on October 1, 2025
so I can’t test the title - because I’ve only access in Canada
where the title is not available - so I used an other title.

The info site never work - you need to play
longer than 2 seconds to get orange button:

So how long did it take for you? I’m over 5 minutes now playing in SF and still no orange download button

(That screen grab for me at 2 seconds was taken after multiple attempts to get it to analyze - I had let it play much longer than that. I just grabbed that capture for the post. )

For me (with VPN) it always takes 3-10 seconds (see my 1st screenshot)

btw: I get the title also for free at pluto.tv in Germany (but only in german)

OK, thanks @Germania - at least I have confirmation that I was initiating the download the right way/same way as you, but seems like it’s definitely broken for Hoopla/US with SF 7.0.0.5
