I’ve been using Subtitle Edit app to fix the blanks in SRT files only from Amazon. It works. It’s not an issue with other providers.
To edit a SRT file:
Open and select a SRT file
Tools
Fix Common Errors
Check the box on the very top of the list, “Remove empty lines/unused line breaks”, click on Next
It’ll show a list of lines that need to be fixed, click on “Apply selected fixes”
Click on Ok and Save the file.
To edit a batch of SRT files, like a series:
Tools
Batch convert
Scan folder, to find your SRTs
In Convert options, select Fix common errors (make sure all the boxes but one, “Remove empty lines/unused line breaks” are unchecked)
Click on Convert
Click on OK. It’s auto saved.
