Just been downloading Silo (UK), and half of the episodes came through in HDR10+ instead of DoVi even though DoVi was selected. Curiously, pasting the episode URL into SF actually did download DoVi, but as a movie (movie mode, I guess)

I selected first three epis of both seasons in DoVi
(not 4K, otherwise processing will take an hour)
and I got everyone like selected:

btw: The only noticeable thing is that sometimes no audio codec is displayed

I think it’s a track selection bug, here’s another example:-

update [triage]: playing the “wrongly” downloaded episode in the ATV app on my TV made the ATV module in SF analyse the “problematic” episode and download DoVi correctly (ATV module seems to exhibit Amazon module behavior for picking out which episode to analyse).

So it’s definitely looking like a track selection algorithm bug.

@Wilson.Wang ok, so it’s not just DoVi randomness, it’s a general track selection bug: I selected 4k SDR download, got 9/10 SDR, 1 HDR10+ (yup, it really is):-

Hoping that @Wilson.Wang and crew are working on this one. This was annoying to notice after downloading a season that it went back and forth between different HDR formats. I’m assuming that the list of available downloads just needs a bit of filtering based on the user’s selections is all. It is extremely slow to queue up one episode at a time selecting a different resolution hoping for the correct version.

Don’t get me wrong, though, overall I am beyond pleased by having 4k HDR for ATV+! Just the thought of 1080p vs 360p is an amazing improvement!

Is it a “Analyzing Individual Episodes” issue coming up again? On AMZ, the “Best Quality” option is a band-aid, maybe they could come up with something similar for this? Or maybe Version 7 will offer Analyze Individual Episodes?
When I was using Hulu, unless I force analyzed episodes, sometimes the downloads would be 300Mb smaller or more than they should be (the highest stream wasn’t being seen because of the way it was analyzing).

just picks the wrong codec, but still picks the “best” (at least in my case) bitrate, for a beta it’s actually fairly good.
