I purchased a lifetime subscription for this rubbish, And after a while it wont download YouTube video’s, I have complained and sent screenshots of error messages, i keep asking for refund but they just keep fobbing me of with next update will fix problem. That was a year ago, I have used free youtube downloaders and free trials of payed for downloaders and they all work great Every one of them, I have had to pay for another downloader, “ iDownerGo ” And this works great, much better than this rubbish, So i say avoid this rubbish and use another downloader ONE THAT WORKS, The agent who was dealing with my case “AGENT RAIN” Was utterly and totally useless, After a year of messages she never helped one little bit, I am disgusted with this company and there aftersales service, Its a case of once the have your money then that is all that matters to them, I am going to start a campaign to warn others about this SCAM company.

Looking at iDownerGo, it would not be a product I even tried, ~~as NO price listed on their website.~~
I always like to know what I am in for if I try a product and like to know the price.

For me, there was only a very short time I could not download YT videos.
YT made a huge change to their site that stopped most YT downloaders, but that’s all fixed now.

Stan001 just looking at the website, it seems it’s just a premium wrapper around yt-dlp, there’s nothing on the website about downloading from premium streaming services…

If you bought it just for Youtube, why didn’t you ask before? There are much cheaper and better solutions for Youtube download. I’ve been using SF for a few years and they are among the best for premium services (Netflix and others), it’s true they have some bugs but believe me I’ve tried others, even paid for licenses and for now SF is the best for me while the others have disappeared.

Well, in the past (and no more!) I have tried multiple times to ‘report the issues properly’ and the customer service have been s****y all around regardless. So that part seems to align with my personal observations.

However, the help I got on this forum makes up for it tenfold (from other users, NOT from the official support, with the only notable exception being that sometimes Wilson tries to help).

So, my advice to the OP is to try to describe his problems here (with details, posting logs and everything), instead of contacting the support.

As with any software, a user’s mileage will vary. I’ve been using streamfab since it first came out and whilst I’ve had many issues over that time, they have eventually been resolved and I am also realistic as to what SF can and can’t achieve given what it is trying to doing is at best legally iffy.

My experience with software issues, in general, is that issues are far more likely to be due to the user (myself included) not running a vanilla install on a vanilla system.

And as for customer support … over the many decades I have been using computers & dealing with their customer support (since the early 80s), I have found community forums to be far better than the official customer support. If you think Streamfab’s customer support is bad, you should try dealing with Microsoft or, gods forbid, adobe, who probably have the worst customer support in the universe.

Straight-up BNW, plus this is a fluid environment, it changes constantly and certain services will be down from time-to-time, In fact HBO had major issues for a good year, not so long ago. Wilson has done a pretty good job as of recent, especially with all of the new products they are adding. Now as to the pricing schemes that’s another issue, for a different thread.

I am satisfied with the provided service. I may regurlarly download movies, series and documentaries for my private library from streaming companies that do not allow it (i.e. OCS/AppleTV/Paramount+/HBOMax/Canal+ in MyCanal, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, Arte mainly). Off course, SF developers could be quicker to circumvent new DRM from providers, or to update the free components included in SF (MKVToolNix, etc.). But globally, that is more than OK for me and I do not regret a second my lifetime purchase. SF offers a trial period: it suits you, you buy the license; it does not, don’t; where is the scam?
