Peacock - 5.1 No Joy Since 6250

Hello everyone… and thank you to DVDFab for making all these great apps. I have been utilizing their software for quite a while and find them top notch.

So my issue is that Peacock has not been offering 5.1 sound since 6250…. and I have tried every update since to see if that option is corrected, but it has not been since that version, so I have been reverting back to 6250 with each update attempt. Since 6251 Peacock only offers 2.0 AAC for any program I wish to see,.. which is fine, but 5.1 is always my preferred choice. I have not read anything about that issue, so I thought I would chime in. :-)

Kurt Kuhn Really impossible to correctly assist you when you don’t tell us which show or movie you are trying to download.

Shows like Law & Order - that have been running for 20+ years - only offer 2.0 on their first few seasons. If you allow SF to scan starting at season 1 you won’t get the option to switch to AC-3.

However, if you turn off auto-analysis and go to the show page and manually click on a more recent episode you get the choice.

So it is really determined by what you are downloading.

Yeah, like Germania pointed out when the download window comes up you should see:

Each time you need to change to EAC3, and then you will get EAC3 5.1.
Those who use Peacock have been trying to either get streamfab to default to EAC3 or add it as settings, like Netflix, Fandango or Disney+ has.

Do note also that if only AAC shows up, then EAC is not available.

I kind of figured it was something I was missing…. as every show or movie I attempted to DL there was only offering AAC 2.0 …. and there were no posts about it. LOL. I guess I am getting old…lol. Thank you again…. truly. 😇
