How do I force the quality download that I wanted?

I’m not happy about this. I wanted 2.0 audio, I selected 2.0 audio – and Streamfab said nope, there’s a higher quality available! Here it is! (Spoiler alert: it’s not higher quality for me. The 5.1 on this show sounds garbled on the device I plan to watch it on, so I wanted the 2.0)

Now I need to redownload 25 episodes, using up 25 of my download slots, if it’s even possible to get the downloads I wanted.

Is it possible? How do I force Streamfab to download what I asked for?

Perhaps you should first mention which provider you are talking about ..
.. In the best case, also mention the affected series.

I can’t remember ever getting 5.1 instead of my preferred/selected 2.0.

The early episodes are in AAC 2.0
The later are in AAC 5.1

As to why it sounds garbled, I don’t know. All play fine when watching on my PC via Netflix.
As well as if playing the saved mkv file on my PC.

How to get AAC 2.0 128 when only AAC 5.1 192 is offered in SF ?

All I did was have SF analyze S01E01 and then selected S15E01 in SF, and it downloaded as AAC 2.0, because SF used what it saw for S01E01.

And as always, there are things I understand and things I don’t fully understand. For me, even on my PC, both 2.0 and 5.1 AAC play without being garbled. And I use no fancy sound or speakers.
So I just wonder what can cause it for one person and not another?

Please pretend I never said anything about audio quality. Like I said, that’s strictly on the crummy device that I use (to watch tv when I’m on my computer.) The thing can barely manage stereo, anything more than that overloads its tiny tinny speakers.

The problem seems to have resolved. I guess it was on the StreamFab server end, since I haven’t yet updated to the latest version of the client. But this morning I downloaded a movie at less than the max video resolution, and that’s what StreamFab gave me.
