Network Issues

I use to be able to download for hours without issue, but with the last few builds of 6 and even with 7, I my network crashes after downloading a few titles. Resetting the network will restore the connection.

It use to only happen with Tubi, but now Max and Disney are doing it, too.

With 6, I would always see this in the Event Viewer (I don’t see anything with 7):
A fatal error occurred while creating a TLS client credential. The internal error state is 10013.

I’m not sure if it’s an issue with SteamFab or my system.

You might try changing your DNS to Google or Cloudflare if not done already.
Also, periodically, run SFC /scannow from terminal as admin to fix any system errors.

I don’t know if changing the DNS fixed it, but it hasn’t crashed yet. Why would the DNS make such a difference?

It’s one of those weirdo things that I find I sometimes have issues with Amazon as a customer, socials, banking website, etc.., with my ISP DNS. Almost like it’s going into limbo at one of the ‘hops’ along the way. Google and Cloudflare as secondary seems to fix this for me. I add entries for both IPv4 and IPv6, and makes life betterer. :)

Nope, that didn’t fix it. I tried to download one title from Tubi and the network died almost immediately. I had to reset the network adapter. It used to download for hours without issue about 3 or 4 releases ago. Nothing has changed in my machine.

Nothing has changed here and no issues with my VIP accounts, however I don’t use Tubi as quality too low for me. Sorry no ideas.

You could try doing a traceroute from your terminal command to tubi.com to see if the “hops” are drying someplace in between.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I don’t normally download from Tubi, either, but it’s the only place that has some old shows.

Even if the connect to Tubi had issues, how would that kill my adapter? Something is causing the network adapter, itself, to crash.

Xenos what’s the adaptor? I’m running on both Intel’s XL700s and Chelsio’s Terminator 5s, and even for a long time off an Aquantia’s 10G one with no cooling (yey SFP+!), and never had an issue 🤷‍♂️

Xenos reinstall network drivers/do wholesale wmi repair? Broadcoms are fairly good (in some cases more stable than Intel!)

I just did a network reset. We’ll see what that does.

You can also in many cases login to your router as admin and see if it has a firmware update.
I’ve never ever in 30 years had a network adapter crash my PC or Mac. Sorry, if that is no help. Just throwing soup against the wall in case might help in some way :)
